"What do you think? Leave her to her own devices or go?" Fiona asked the dog.

She immediently lifted her head and jumped off the bed excitedly. Maybe she thought Fiona was going to look for Lauren.

Fiona slowly stroked the length of the dog's body.
"Maybe I should leave. No-one would care if I did, I'm sure." Fiona said to herself.

The dog whimpered as if to say, "Don't go!"

"Of course if I do go. I couldn't leave you here. But I don't know if I'd be able to care for you very well." Fiona said to the dog.

"They knew I never intended to stay long. And I was beginning to think maybe I didn't need to. Guess I was wrong." Fiona said to herself again.

Angelica slept alone that night, of course. She was surprised to find herself upset with her own self instead of Fiona.

She woke up early that morning. The sun hadn't yet risen and only a little bit of light was in the sky.

Fiona was up and had been for a while. She's been searching for the dog's things ready to leave. Having ultimately deciding she was no longer needed there. She was just making sure she had everything in her room before she departed.

Angelica stood and went to the roof, having a feeling she knew what was going on. She sighed and went up the stairs and was then up there. She saw Fiona at the edge, behind the girl the sun rising.

She sighed. "What are you doing?" She walked up to her, arms folded.

"What do you think, I'm taking your advice and leaving." Fiona replied without turning to look at her. sleeping dog in her arms.

"God, Fiona!" she snapped. "When are you going to learn I never mean what I say? I thought Samuel told you that weeks ago." She smirked.
