Fiona found two more articles these were both in English. But she had to keep searching. She put them in the pile with the Russian Article. |

There was another one, a Gotham Gazzette article, in English. There were two separate photos of the same man and woman from before, gazing at the camera. They looked the same but somehow different. Like they had more lines on their face. And in these pictures they hadn't bothered to smile. "VOLKOV FAMILY MURDED!" "The bodies of Volkov Industries founder, Pavel Volkov, 42, and his wife Katrina, 45, were found last night in their Gotham City mansion. The estimated time of the murder has not yet been released by officials. Those who were at the crime scene claim that when ambulances arrived, Mrs. Volkova was still alive and was speaking of a strange woman who had broken in. No name of the possible suspect was given. The Volkovs leave behind their daughter Angelica Pavelovna Volkova." |

Fiona committed that article to memory. There wasn't much she thought she could gain from it other than her parents were dead. She put that one to one side to put back in the box. |

More Info on Volkov Case, Daughter Missing More information has emerged on the murder case of Pavel and Katrina Volkov. Judging by witness accounts and official reports, that tragic night which left Angelica Volkova orphaned went like this: The Volkovs had a fallout with their daughter. She ran away. By midnight she still was not found, despite search efforts. Pavel and Katrina returned to their Gotham City mansion (according to neighbor reports). At 1:00 AM a woman was seen entering the mansion. The residents did not appear to have opened the door themselves. At 1:15, screams could be heard from inside the home. The police were called and once they arrived at the seen Mr. Volkov was already deceased. Mrs. Volkova was half-concious and spoke intently to a paramedic. She told of a mysterious woman breaking inside and attacking Mr. Volkov, and later Katrina herself. Mrs. Volkova passed away in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Their daughter Angelica, 10, was found at 6:00 later. She was taken to the police station to be questioned. She was found to know nothing about the incident. The girl later disapeared. This is all that is known of that tragic night of a sucsessful Russian businessman and his wife. |

Fiona frowned. She decided this was a start but there must be more. She knew from experience that nightmares didn't come from knowing nothing of some-one's death. She decided to keep that on as a reminder. She grabbed the bag she had concealed and placed the papers she wanted to keep in it and started tidying the rest of the things in the box. |

Jane dropped Alex off at school and walked to one of the top-valued cheap restraunts in Gotham--the "No. 1 China Buffet". She stepped inside and saw the building was pretty much empty of customers at the moment. They would be in for breakfast at any time now, though. She walked to the back and put on her black waitress waist apron where she kept tips. She made her way back in to the eating room and found that two customers had already arrived. Jane tied her hair back in a ponytail and strode up to an elderly man having trouble walking even with his cane. "Hello, my name is Jane and I will be your server today." She covered up her obvious English accent with as much American as she could. The man nodded and she showed him to the nearest table so he wouldn't have to walk any further. He ordered a coffee. As she went to get it for him, he filled up his plate full of Chinese breakfast food and returned to his table. Once she gave him his coffee she served the other man who had entered the restraunt. Before long, the place was full of customers wanting their breakfast. Jane ran her feet off trying to keep the grumpy people happy. When she did have free time to think, she thought of the creative writing classes she was taking at college. She had night courses, which was when the babysitter came to stay with Alex at the apartment and help him with his homework. She had to write something by 8:00, and she had a ton of ideas. All of them were longer than a simple essay. Panic started to settle in when the bell at the door clinged. A guy strode in, wearing a tee shirt and jeans. Handsom face and messy hair. A big smile. Jane gulped, feeling herself melt like a schoolgirl. Why did she have to be so naive? She strode up to the guy and smiled. "I'm Jane and I will be your server today." She showed him to his table, served him his drink, and turned away to hide her blushing. |

Angelica made her way through the halls and to her room, noticing nothing out of place. |

Fiona was just happy to know a little more. Her toes for now were the most important thing to her. |

A few hours later, the siren rang. Which was Angelica's way of summoning the V-Squad and the guards who worked with them to a mission. Red lights flashed in the hallway and the defening siren screamed. Angelica stood outside on the roof, watching as the members and a few other people loaded into the ship. But no Fiona.... She frowned, annoyed. Not again. "Go ahead before me," she said to Sam. He nodded and walked to the control. The ship took off with her. She angrily stormed back inside and to Fiona's room. |

Fiona had been sat on her bed reading the articles she had found. But had to stop after the first one has the siren went off. she knew Angelica would be there moments after it rang so she hid the articles and went to sit back on her bed. Making sure there was enough nail care stuff spread around that Angelica wouldn't get suspicious. Good thing she hadn't tidied it away after she used it. And Even better still. Her beautiful red toenails hadn't dried yet. |

"Come in." Fiona called pleasantly from inside. She didn't expect Angelica to knock but she wasn't going to get up and ruin her toenails to open the door. |

Angelica smashed the button on the keypad by the door and stormed in. "Do sirens and flashing red lights mean absolutely nothing to you?!" |

"Blue lights and sirens mean the police are near. But I don't feel like fighting so I don't fight. Just done my toes. Can't ruin them." Fiona said with a smile. |

Angelica stared at her incredulously, then sighed. You can take the girl out of the shopping mall, but you can't take the fashion obsession out of the girl. |
