Angelica was taken up a set of stairs and they stopped her at a door. Then they placed a black cloth around her eyes to blind her, and led her into the chamber. The roof opened up to the sky, she could tell, because a sudden draft reached her. She did not shiver. They took her to the middle of the room, then made her step up onto some sort of platform. They took off the white robe-type thing she wore, leaving her only in black underwear. They pulled her arms up behind her and cuffed them, and she heard their footsteps grow distant.

She knew people were watching, she could hear them shuffling around and breathing as they watched from above. And suddenly, everyone went completely still and quiet, as if holding their breath. Even the baby inside of her was still. The only sound she could hear was her own breath, which was now becoming shaky.

She knew the firing squad was in front of her. There would be a line of people with guns, and someone giving the orders to carry out her death sentence.

Fiona took a breath to prepare herself, this was one of the hardest things she ever had to do in her life. But she kept calm, She stared straght ahead, and spoke.
"Ready, Aim...." She paused.
"Fire!" She ordered making herself stay still, they were only blanks.

An ear-splitting boom sounded through the hall. Angelica jumped, startled. A second later, she realized that she was not dead and she had not been shot.

Fiona glanced around at everybody and scowled.
"You all make me sick." She muttered. She looked straight at a guard,
"I want everyone to drop there weapons and then I want someone to untie her. And if it doesn't happened, then I'm afraid, that defiance will be the last thing you ever do on this earth." Fiona said shouting through the whole room. Taking in every single face. A lightning bolt crackled in the centre of the room, nowhere near any body, it was just a threat.
"Do I make myself clear?" Fiona asked.

Angelica froze with shock.

No one dared defy Fiona once they recognized her and the others. Someone stepped forward and untied Angelica, who lowered her hands at her sides and didn't move to take the blindfold off. She was going to let the bitch guards do it themselves, just as they had blinded her themselves.

"That's better. But you forgot something." Fiona said softly, but the threat was still evident in her voice. That was the thing about Fiona, she ruled with kindness, meaning if she were to get mad then you were in serious doo doo. But even with kindness she was still scary if she wanted to be.

"Can I just ask one thing? If we killed a pregnant women, no matter how guilty the women was, why would we be classed as criminals? When that was all you were here to see yourselves? You know, not one of you stood up there is better than us. Your probably worse, we wouldn't kill a pregnant women, it's sick. Even for our standards." Fiona said, she was genuinely disgusted that they would considering killing a innocent child. and she wouldn't ever allow anyone of the team to kill a mother expecting.
If they absolutely had to kill the mother she'd ask them to wait until the baby was born, raise it themselves for there own gain.

She looked around once again making sure everyone who wasn't asked to move was still there.
"Now, if you want to leave here alive, then you tell everyone who asked, she died here tonight, and we weren't here. We will burn every last bit of evidence we find to discriminate us, so ringing the authorities is fruitless. Anyone who can't follow that simple request then raise your hands now." Fiona said looking around.

"I didn't think so." Fiona said with a smile. She walked towards Angelica.
"You know, hello would be nice." Fiona whispered to Angelica has she handed her some clothing.

Angelica said nothing, she merely looked at Fiona with a penetrating gaze.

Fiona just rolled her eyes and sighed.
"Should have guessed." She muttered to herself and looked to the team.
"Let's go home." Fiona said aloud, to Angelica and the rest of the team.

"You have guessed nothing, don't get ahead of yourself." Angelica slid the shirt over her head. The Squad stepped forward to her as she walked off the platform.

Again Fiona mearly rolled her eyes and followed. She was in no mood to argue. Or to properly interprit Angelica's last comment, so she didn't bother trying.
"There's a suprise waiting at home, it's amazing how productive you get when your bored." Fiona said changing the subject.

No one moved to stop them as they left the place.

Angelica did not comment. She had too many thoughts running through her head.

"I'll make you something made with real food when we get home, I don't think cardboard is nutritional for the baby." Fiona said.

They drove home and Angelica did not speak.

Hours later, after she was dressed, fed, and had showered with real soap and clean water, a servant came to her with news that a guest had arrived, someone by the name of Tess Mercer.

Angelica hesitated. She wanted to have nothing more to do with Luthor and anyone acquainted with him. She felt no attachment or sentiment for Mercer. However, this could be important. She had someone bring her to the main room. There Mercer stood, her hair up in a bun and wearing a business pantsuit.

Fiona walked into the room at that moment.
"Angelica, I've been looking for you, I was wondering...." She paused upon seeing the stranger.
"Oh, hello." She said. She didn't know what else to say, but suddenly she had a odd feeling about this women she couldn't place.

The woman looked at her briefly and did not return the greeting. She turned back to Angelica. "I was worried. I rushed to the prison. When they said the execution went through, I thought I was too late. I thought I had lost you." She took a step forward and reached out to Angelica.

Angelica smacked her hand away. "Excuse me? You were worried? About me? You watched as I was taken away, yet you claim to have been worried? You are a terrible liar, Mercer--"

"Angelica, I thought we were past the formalities."

"No, you are nothing to me. You are dirt, scum, swine! You never had me, do not claim me as if you possess me!" Angelica snarled, disgusted.

Mercer backed away. "How can you say that? I told you my deepest thoughts, secrets!"

"Your betrayal of me is obviously not a deep thought, then, is it? Don't give me that look, I know you were trying to make me stay, work for your master. I know his agenda, and I know you are simply a puppet to him. That is one thing we both agree on--you mean nothing to me just as he cares nothing for you. Leave my home at once, or you will regret ever stepping foot in here."

A different look came to Mercer's face as Angelica spoke. The helpless, sad, betrayed look vanished. It was replaced by a cold glare. "I see we are dropping pretenses. You have made a dangerous enemy Volkova. You are warned."

"Your threatens do not move me." Angelica returned the cold glare.

Mercer turned and left. As she walked out, without looking back or stopping, she said, "You will regret your actions soon enough."

And she was gone.

Fiona looked at Angelica slightly confused at first. But it wasn't long before she had put 2 and 2 together. Fiona tried to say something but couldn't. She tried again.
"How could you?" Was all she could say and that was barely audible. She walked from the room in shock. It wasn't until she arrived at the room she shared with Angelica that she felt the first pang of anger rage through her.
