"The agreement involved getting her released again has I believe, you swapped information, for information. Now, why is when you promised immunity to permanent capture, are all the bases in the world under threat of exposure, or worse, captor?" Fiona asked. |

"I am a mere police commissioner in this city, one city in a world full of billions of people. I have no control of what others do, no matter how much I wish I do. I promised immunity from permanent capture in Gotham for as long as I am commissioner." |

Fiona had to think fast, she didn't want to seem to show any weakness. She frowned then stood. "Just know this, if that promise falls though has well, then I won't be responicble for my actions." Fiona whispered in his ear. She stood up straight again and placed a 20 bill on the table. "That's for the food tea I ordered. Do what you want with the rest." Fiona said and walked from the shop. He was a lying piece of scum and Fiona surprised herself with the level of control she showed. She was angry, and missing Angelica, yet she still hadn't rung the poor guys neck. He should be lucky he came out unharmed at all. |

Fiona was just a criminal teenager, nothing to him, and he wasn't one bit intimidated by the "tough girl". He was police commissioner and had a job to do. Just granting them immunity was violating the vow he took when he became an officer. |

Fiona walked home, she seriously needed someone, but with the only people back at base, servants who hated her and children who barely knew how to wipe there own bums, she was alone, despite being around so many people. She needed Angelica back, needed her to safe her from going insane. She knew what she could do to keep her mind occupied while news came, it involved visiting one shop she wouldn't usually go in. |

Angelica was taken to a certain to a room with "stalls", so to speak. In each stall was a seat on each side of a glass window, with what looked like receivers of pay-phones hanging from the sides. This is what inmates and visitors spoke through to talk to each other. Approaching her stall, she saw Tess Mercer on the other side of the glass. Angelica sat and set her cold, stony case on the other woman. Mercer didn't seem fazed by it. She smoothly reached out and took a receiver, lifting it to her ear. She didn't say anything, waiting for Angelica to take one too. Angelica took hers, her expression unchanging. "The offer expires in three days," Mercer said. "I will be back on that day. Consider your choices wisely." Then she hung up before Angelica could say anything. She stood and walked away, leaving suddenly once again. The guard escorted Angelica back to her cell. |

Fiona walked out of the shop. Carrying several cans of blue and wall paint, and matching ceiling and door paint. She was going to surprise Angelica on her return, by decorating the baby's nursery. Although they didn't know what they were having, Fiona had a idea you could use for either gender. |

The baby grew bigger every day. Angelica was only seven months along and she already looked very far along. She tried to close her eyes that night, get some sleep, but nothing worked. She still felt betrayed that Fiona chose that moment, without telling her, to do that, but maybe there was still hope. Maybe she wasn't completely abandoned. Maybe maybe maybe. She was abandoned. It had been two days already. She had three more days to accept Mercer's proposition if she chose to. |

Once Fiona arrived home she set the paint cans down in her old room. The one she used before her and Angelica fell in love. Fiona had gradually been removing things from it because she no longer used it. Well thats what she told Angelica. But in actual fact she'd always intended this room to be used for the baby. Now it was empty except for the bed, but she figured that could be used for tired mummys to rest during long nights up with the baby. The room was big enough for the bed and all the other baby things they'd need. Fiona now had everything she needed. Now all she had to do was change into clothes she didn't mind ruining. And that was the hardest task of all. |

Angelica lay on the cot again, the only thing she could do right now. She blocked out the screaming and shouting of the inmates, the sounds echoing through the halls of the jail. Instead, she focused on the life inside her. The baby kicked as if it was irritated it had to stay another night in this dreadful place. Angelica had to agree. At least it didn't have to lie on this filthy bed! She felt the baby's foot kick against her hand impatiently. It seemed to be a lot like her bio-mom already. Angelica's hair had grown a lot since she met Fiona, because she hadn't cut it. But it was starting to get in the way and annoy her greatly. |

Fiona finally managed to begin painting. She'd thought old clothing was going to be the hardest thing, she was wrong. It was tying her hair up to stop it dipping in the paint. It was at that moment that for the first time in her life she considered cutting her hip length hair. |

Three days passed. Three long, sluggish, terrible days. Tess Mercer arrived that night just as Angelica was beginning to fall asleep. The cell door opened and a cop stood beside her with the keys. Mercer looked the same as always--business suit, her red hair up in a tight bun. But under all that, she had a Goddess-like beauty. Angelica blinked and covered her eyes from the light. "What do you want? What is going on?" "Get up, get dressed, you're coming with me," Mercer said, striding smoothly into the cell. Angelica sat up. "Excuse me?" "You have no team, and you have no family," Mercer added the last part by glancing at Angelica's swollen middle. "This is your only option." Angelica had waited, but no one had come to bail her out, not even for the sake of the baby. Not her girlfriend, who supposedly loved her, not her team, who only had the power they had because of her. Not to mention, she was arrested when she least expected it at the worst time possible. This was two unforgivable offenses. She and the baby were alone now. "Who is it you work for?" "You will find out soon enough, I promise. But I assure you, you know who he is," Mercer replied. "You've been bailed out, Volkova. You're free to come with us." Angelica stood up, having made her decision. "Fine. Any place but here." |

Fiona had been alone at base now for three days and it was driving her mad. Even though she'd barely stopped the whole time, she was still lonely and still needed someone there. That morning she had decided she couldn't take it any longer. She was going to bail angelica out no matter what. she had to for the sake of her sanity. No-one else could escape there business at the countries they were all in and Fiona couldn't stand the thought of Angelica being in a place like that has lonely as she. It had taken two whole hours but Fiona deemed herself disguised enough to get away with going personally to the prison. She'd have to use her own money, but she didn't care, it would be worth every penny. |

The city lights reflected off the dark tinted windows of the limousine as it drove through the streets. Angelica sat in the back with Mercer. It was quiet in there. She stared out the window, not looking at the other woman. She hated being in someone else's mercy, and that's what was going on right now. Angelica shivered and rubbed her arms. "Are you cold?" Mercer asked, piercing the silence. "I'm fine. I always am," Angelica replied without emotion. Mercer ignored this and pushed a button beside her. She spoke. "Turn up the heat, it's freezing back here." She let go of the button and heat came out of the vents. They drove on to the airport. "Where are we going?" Angelica asked, frowning. "Metropolis," Mercer replied. "You wouldn't want to drive all the way, would you?" Gotham and Metropolis were separated by New York City. If they drove, it would certainly take a while, even at night. They got out of the car and boarded a private jet, which took off soon after. |

Finally after about a million distractions (How did angelica manage running the place EVERYDAY?) She managed to leave the base and set out to complete her mission. It was dark by now, where had the day gone? And she got to the prison late. She placed the bag she had full of money on the counter and waited for some assistance. |

A tired cop walked up and went behind the counter. "How may I help you?" He didn't recognize her, as he had bad eyes. |

"I've come to bail out, Angelica Volkova." Fiona said glad she wasn't recognized. |
