Angelica followed her silently, noticing this. had fiona done something behind angelica's back that she knew the dark haired woman would not approve of? she felt anger then. she would get to the bottom of this.

Normally Fiona would have challenged Angelica about why she was being so odd with her but she barely noticed. Everything seemed to be a blur to her. Nothing was clear, most of her waking thoughts were overtaken by the night before and even her subconsious thoughts all repeated the same thing. She was doing her best to conseal how she truely felt but sometimes it faulted. She wasn't sure if anyone else had noticed, nor did she care.
She returned to her room. She sat down on the bed picking up a magazine. She looked at the pages not taking anything in. But it was all part of the act.

Angelica also concealed her thoughts as well as her emotions. like a game of chess, or playing poker with the proper face. she dressed for bed, into short, red silk gown. She disappeared into the bathroom, doing her nightly routine. she came back to the bedroom and pulled back the covers on her side

Fiona had no intentions of remaining in the room again that night. She would wait until Angelica was asleep and slip out. The only reason she returned at all was for apperances sake. They wouldn't go looking for her if they knew she was safe. She contined to 'read' the magazine. Hoping Angelica wouldn't be too long in falling asleep.

Angelica avoided staring at Fiona. she closed her eyes, and eventually her breaths became even.

Fiona did return, just after sunrise. She'd spent the night by the bay. She had slept for a short while, although it had been a far from restful. She'd awoken crying.

Today on top of everything else, she felt worried. She knew they had a mission that evening and she was having a hard enough time masking her true emotions from Angelica, never mind the whole team. She just hoped everyone remained as oblivious as Angelica.

Fiona now showered and dressed sat at the dressing table. Trying her best to cover the bags from lack of sleep and the blotchness from tears. Luckily make up was a must for her, so no-one would think it odd for her to wear it.

Angelica had awaken around the time that Fiona had come in. She waited for her to finish with the shower, then went in. She finished quickly and stepped back into the bedroom, naked and towel-drying her hair. she changed into her clothes for the day. she glanced at fiona.

"Are you angry with me?" she aked bluntly.

Fiona turned and stared at her. The question taking time to make sense in her mind. She frowned.
"No. Why would I be angry at you?" She asked acting dumbfounded. She relised at that moment just how well Angelica knew her and that she hadn't truely been fooling her these last few days.

"Why? Since the night I told you to check the hangar, you have reacted differently toward me."

Fiona felt her heartrate speed up as the memory of that nice once again became the only thought in her mind. She looked away from Angelica with a deep breath. She stood and walked to the door. A lie forming on her lips
"Perhaps I came to the realisation that it was 16 years ago this month in which my mother died. And I'm just finding it difficult to play happy families right now."
She walked through the door. Hopefully the movement of walking away hid the fear that she knew had taken over her expression.

considering this, Angelica followed. "And that is all? Nothing happened between now and then?"

Fiona didn't reply straight away. She truely hated lying, but the possiblity of losing Angelica was a far worse feeling that a untruth. She stopped and glanced back at Angelica.
"Nothing at all." She said and carried on walking.

Fiona walked to Scarlett's room. Scarlett was still sleeping. She decided to leave her asleep. Scarlett would probably seek Fiona out when she woke. Fiona made her way to the kitchen. She prepared herself a single piece of toast and sat down at the table where she began to pick at it. She felt hungry but still couldn't face food. She was sick of feeling so down. But no matter how hard she tried she couldn't bring herself out of it or stop the bad memories playing over and over in her mind.

Angelica came to breakfast with her tablet. she set it aside and poured herself a healthy tea. she tried to pretend she did not notice that fiona was picking at her food. She was not convinced this was about her mother. She just needed to sit back and watch. the answer would come to her. it always did.

Fiona mearly glanced up when Angelica walked in. She gave angelica the benifit of a few mintues of staring before she stood up, toast barely touched and left the room. The last thing she needed was a observer when she couldn't help but feel like she needed to be alone. She made her way to the bedroom. She changed into a bikini, grabbed a clean towel and went to a fairly recent installment of the base. The swimming pool. She was so far the only one she knew who'd actually used it. So she would be more than likely be alone.

Lauren chose that day to go for a little swim. Sam was out and Jason had been making it clear he was not interested in her. She had gone looking for Fiona but did not find her.

She showed up wearing a yellow swimsuit and pink flip flops. Her hair was pulled up in a ponytail and she carried a purple towel with her. She walked into the pool room and was surprised to see Fiona there.

She beamed. "Hey! I'm so glad I found you. Hanging around the pool all alone is SO boring! one is the lonliest number." she set her towel down.

Fiona resisted the urge to get out. And also resisited saying. 'And two is one too many'
She looked at Lauren from the water, fake smile on her face.
"You should be thanking me then. I may have just saved you from dying of boredom." She joked.
