He grinned. "I won't, don't worry. That would be a fatal mistake, I suspect." |

Angelica watched her fiancee interact. Though she would never admit it, she had been terrified that, with the rape, she had lost someone pivotal in her life. The worry had eaten at her, burrowing into her brain the notion that Fiona would never be Fiona again. In the nearly five years since she had met the British weather witch, she had never seen her so low before. Angelica didn't know what to do. She had been so desperate to help Fiona be herself again, to feel whole again, that she had hired a therapist for her. Angelica, a woman who believed that psychiatrists and brain doctors were for weaklings who needed to grow a backbone, had resorted to such a desperate move with hope that it assist Fiona in someway that Angelica could not. When she'd met Fiona, gone through with the pregnancy, proposed to Fiona and given birth to Scarlett, she'd gone through a life change. Her whole perspective had altered. She now felt that, once again, her view on everything was changing. The world was not shifting. She was. Two months later, life had gone somewhat back to normal. It was quite a lot like when she was pregnant with Scarlett, with preparations for the baby nursery and getting ready for a new arrival (although there was still more time to go). But of course it was Fiona who was pregnant this time. The new year had passed and they were already several months in. Scarlett was four years old. Angelica had not given up her search for the scarred man, nor did she mention him or her efforts to Fiona. She had received several rumors that a man with scars and clown face paint was showing up in the city and beginning to wreck havoc. But she could never peg him down. She always arrived at his places of mischief too late. He always left a joker playing card behind at the scenes of his crimes. |

On this particular day the the blonde was stood in the baby's room. She watched as the paint went up on the walls. Every detail had to be perfect. Not a single thing out of place. Everything had to be exactly where Fiona wanted it to be. As they did not know if it was a boy or a girl, the room was decorated in a warm yellow colour. The celings to be painted like a sky with fluffy white clouds. Fiona stood in the centre of the room. By now her bump was showing and steadily growing day by day. She watched as one of the decorators sat on the floor spoke quietly to his collegue beside him. "Geez, why do we have to do this?" He was asking. "It's our job. Hey, it's not our usual job but it's money." The fellow worker replied. "Yeah, but it's a little below us don't ya think?" "Money's money." The collegue countered with a shrug. "And who the hell does the blonde think she is?" "The one who controls if you get your wages or not." Fiona answered crouching beside then. The collegue quickly continued working staying out of it. The one who began the conversation jumped slightly and turned to her in silence. "Someone should tell you. That you should never make a women angry. That is doublely true if the women is pregnant. Now I think we'd better get back to work in silence. Or you might just find out the hard way, why those saying exsist." Fiona said quietly but with a small smile on her lips. The man nodded. "Yes miss." He muttered and returned to work. Fiona rolled her eyes and stood stright. She could not abide men who saw women as lesser. They will learn if they made the mistake a second time. Especially if her finacee found out. Fiona glanced around the room now. Everyday her excitement grew a little and now seeing the room starting to come together. This was all starting to see a little more real. She smiled to herself. She'd give it 5 more minutes and call a lunch break. It seemed that fairly recently it was the only time she saw Angelica. |

It was highly ironic that some people walked into the V-Squad base with the notion that women were lesser than men. After all, it was a woman who built a worldwide empire and became one of the most successful criminals of the world. The Gotham base was merely one base of many. Today, she was dealing with the usual. Phone conferences, looking over blueprints for future bases, consulting with architects and engineers. Finally she made it to lunch late. She wouldn't miss the lunch hour if she could help it. That was the only time until the evening that she got to see Fiona, especially lately. |

By now Fiona was sat in the dinning room with Scarlett. Fiona was pouring over a furnature catalogue. And Scarlett was finishing off her food. Scarlett had sought Fiona only moments after she had had the altercation with the decorator. Thus announcing lunch a few moments earlier than intended. Scarlett was chatting away and Fiona was half listening. Giving approriate responces whenever required. But she was lost enough in baby shopping she never noticed Angelica arrive. |

Angelica approached behind Fiona and laid a hand on her shoulder. "Does anything catch your eye?" She meant the items in the catalog. |

Fiona looked up at her with a smile. "You know me. I'd have them all if I could." |

Angelica smiled a flirtatious smile (which was the kind of smile she gave most of the time anyway) and kissed her neck. "I see. You could have them all. But that's not wise." |

A good kind of chill went down Fiona's spine. She giggled. "What's not wise about having three changing tables because you just can't choose?" |

"Lack of space, for one thing." She smiled. She took a seat next to her fiancee. |

"I think you just want to spoil my fun." Fiona teased and moved her chair closer to Angelica's she moved the catalogue closer to Angelica also. "I really like these three. But I just can't decide." Fiona said pointing to pictures of three diffrent changing tables. All were made of a good solid wood and were expencive. But one was dark brown, the second a plain wood colour and the third a light wood colour. All had legs shaped into elabrate patterns and all had a carving of a celtic design on the side that was opposite the changer. ((BTW. I made it up so I doubt I could find pics)) |

"Then We'll just have to have all three." Fiona said. Scarlett the suddenly made herself comfortable on Fiona's knee. She stared at the pictures then pointed to the second Changing table. "I like that one for my baby sister." |

"It seems nice. I think a shopping trip this afternoon is in order. Maybe if I can see them in reality that will help me make up my mind." Fiona said looking to Angelica waiting for her to object. |

Fiona was mildly shocked and it showed. Angelica usually discouraged her from shopping (Even though it was usually a waste of time. She went anyway.) "Seriously" She asked. |

"I do not understand why you won't simply choose. But if you believe it is necessary, then do it." |

Fiona gave her head a small head shake. That's where the disagreement came in. She smiled whilst looking at Angelica. "Because to me all three would be perfect. But they never look the same in reality as they do in the pictures. So i may choose one and it will arrive and be wrong. Now do you get it?" |
