Chapter 4
The New Arrival

Angelica knew that she had screwed up, and she was genuinely sorry. She lay on the floor and sobbed, not caring that her door was wide open and guards passed by with raised eyebrows.

Angelica stood and took a deep breath. She knew she had to talk to Fiona about it, to apologize. So she walked to the roof.

Fiona sat on the roof in tears. She didn't know what else to do. She couldn't decide whether she was mad or upset, or felt nothing because she had expected it.

She looked around when she heard footsteps. When she saw who it was, she frowned and said nothing.

"Fiona, I never did it to hurt you, and I'm sorry," said Angelica. "Really, I am."

The Chief walked up to the roof to see what was happening. When he saw the guards staring at Angelica and Fiona, he snapped. "Alright, you retards, fuck off and leave them alone."

Immediately the guards retreated back to there barracks.

"What happened?" the Chief asked the women.

"You always do the same thing, Angelica. How am I suppose to trust you?"

Angelica was about to speak, when she stopped. How could Fiona trust her when Angelica couldn't trust herself?

The Chief knew it was something that they needed to solve themselves. "I'll leave you two alone, then."

Angelica nodded in acknowledgment to him.

Fiona stood. "Take a test," she said.

"A lie detector test? But I've told you the full truth."

"No, a pregnancy test."

Angelica just stared at Fiona. "I'm not pregnant. I would know, I promise."

"If you won't take a test, I can't forgive you this time." Fiona started to walk towards the door that led inside.

"Listen, I've been through the cycle since then. Like, two times."

The Chief leaned against the wall outside the door. "I'm guessing it didn't go well."

Fiona turned to Angelica. "Take the test, Angelica, and I might consider forgiving you." She turned to the Chief. "I'm sorry, I don't want to talk about this right now." She walked through the door.

Angelica held back tears and took a deep breath. Then she slowly walked to the nurse's office. Because even if she had cycles, it could be possible she was pregnant and her system wasn't working right.

Fiona walked to her room and opened the door. She looked inside and sighed. She shut the door and walked to the nurses office.

"I want to make sure you don't lie about the result," she said.

Angelica glared at Fiona. "It wouldn't do any good to lie. I would begin showing soon, if I was pregnant, which I'm not."

"If you even kept the baby at all."

The Chief walked into the nurse's office. "Before you ask, I'm not here to spy on you. I'm here to see the doc about my liver. Don't know if the booze has done any permanent damage."

Angelica nodded to Chief Kerensky, then turned to reply to Fiona. "Don't accuse me of lying to you about being pregnant!"

Fiona frowned. "I'm finding it hard not to accuse you right now." She crossed her arms.

"Calm down kid," Kerensky said. "I don't know what this is about, but this issue needs to get resolved, now."

"Let's just get this over with," Angelica muttered.

The nurse made Angelica lay down on a table. She took a small electronic device over Angelica's body and stopped at the womb area. There was a beeping noise.

"Ah, the results," murmured the nurse.

She was about to give the results when there was a knock at the door.

She frowned and said, "I'll be back." She stormed to the door, leaving Fiona and Angelica alone and wondering.

Fiona looked at the Chief. "If you don't know, it's impolite to interfere."

"Look, I just want to get the tests on my liver done. But I'm willing to wait for the boss to finish her test."

"Then please just stay quiet. This is between me and her."

The nurse finally came back. A man was in her company.

He had amazing, purple eyes, longish, brown hair and a smile that could dazzle a blind man. He was tall, fit and beautiful. He walked up to Angelica and held out his hand. "I'm sorry for disturbing you," he said.

Fiona showed no emotion towards the man but she felt something wasn't right about him.

Angelica stared at him, confused, and didn't shake his hand. "Who are you?"

"I'm a student here. I needed to ask you something, and a young girl--Maddie, I think her name was--told me you was in here."

The Chief shook his head. "Don't recognize you. When did you join this school?"

"Very recently," he replied with a smile. "I'm a very experienced doctor. I had a run in with something bad a few years ago and I had to do all my doctoring in secret. It has been my dream since then to be your doctor, here in one of the best villainous schools in the world."

The Chief didn't trust this man. "Alright, I'll assume you're telling the truth. But if anyone dies under your treatment, I'll put a bullet in your brain."

The man nodded and smiled. "You can trust me. I'm a doctor."

Angelica rose an eyebrow. "I don't recognize you. I think I would know if you're a student here. What is your name?"

"Well, if you ain't busy with the boss," interrupted the Chief, "I need some tests to see if the booze has done any permanent damage to my liver."

"Lucas," the man responded to Angelica. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Well, 'Lucas', can you do the tests on my liver or not?" asked Kerensky.

"Just show me the way to equipment and I can."

Angelica frowned. "I never said I'd give you permission to use my hospital wing."

Lucas turned to her with a smile. "I'm sorry, I normally charge for my services. But you can have me for free if that tightens the bargain."

"We don't charge for services here at all!"

"But you've never had a more experienced doctor than me before."

"I beginning to think he's not a doctor," said the Chief. "Let me see some credentials." He was very suspicious now.

Lucas nodded and held up a small bag. "Everything you need to know is in here. But you guys aren't into being legitimate are you?"

The Chief looked through the info. "These credentials check out. Just checking to see if you know what you're doing."

"We're into knowing we're not being lied to," Angelica said to the doctor.

"I wouldn't lie to the most beautiful, and feared women in the world." That comment made Fiona look up and glare at him.

"You leave her alone," she said, crossing her arms. "I'm going to my room." She walked out.

"Well, I guess we need more docs," said the Chief. "But remember the warning I gave you. Don't want to have to remind you again." He was brandishing his pistol. "Don't worry about Fiona, she'll calm down eventually. I remember when my first girlfriend cheated on me."

Angelica turned to the nurse. "I need the results to my test. Alone, that is."

Once they were in private, she was given the news. "It's negative."

Angelica breathed a sigh of relief and ran to tell Fiona. "It's negative!"

Fiona looked at her and nodded. "Alright. Thanks for letting me know."

Still in the infirmary, Kerensky said, "Alright, time for my tests." He took a deep breath. God, hope its not permanent.

"I take it I've been accepted." Lucas muttered. He looked at the Chief. "I'll need a urine sample."

"Fine." He walked into the bathroom with a bottle and did his business. He came back with a full bottle. "Here ya go, Doc."

"Thanks. It'll take a few hours the get the results, and that'll determine whether or not we need to take things further."

"Alright, Doc, call me when the results are in." With that, the Chief left the room.

"Fiona...please forgive me."

Fiona looked at her silently for a moment.

"Angelica, I'll give you one more chance. If it happens again there's no way I can ever forgive you," she said quietly.

"It won't happen again, I promise."

Fiona didn't believe it, especially now that there was new temptation for her, but she nodded anyway. "You're forgiven for now."

Angelica and Fiona were reading a story to Selena that night.

"And they walked off into the sunset," Fiona read, finishing the story. She closed the book. "Alright, it's sleep time."

Angelica hugged and kissed Selena goodnight and tucked the child in.

Fiona gave Selena a kiss goodnight and walked towards the door. "Goodnight, Sweetie."

"Night, night." The girl rolled over and went to sleep.

Fiona looked at Angelica and held the door open for her. Angelica walked out the door.

Fiona followed, turned off the bedroom light, and shut the door. "Why do children take up so much time?" she asked with a small smile.

Angelica shrugged.

Fiona looked at Angelica with curiosity. "What's wrong?"

"I'm tired. Long day."

Fiona smiled and wrapped her arms around Angelica's neck. "How about we get a early night in?" she asked in a whisper.

Angelica grinned and wrapped her arms around Fiona's waist. "Sounds good to me."

Fiona smiled again. "Come on, then." She unwrapped her arms and took Angelica's hand.

They walked to Angelica's room.

The Chief waited patiently for the results of his test. Should be any minute now, he thought.

Lucas walked up to him. "Alright, I have your results."

"Well, Doc, any permanent damage?"

"Well, at the moment you're fine. If you want to keep it that way, you have to stop drinking. If you have one more drink you could die."

"Alright. I planned to stop drinking, anyway."

The Chief then walked out of the room and to his quarters.

Fiona went in and laid on the bed. "I'm going to go straight to sleep if you're so tired," she teased.

"Um, I take that back. I'm not so tired. In fact, I have lots of energy. Enough energy to be kept up all night." She grinned flirtatiously and lay by Fiona.

Fiona smiled. "I thought you'd say that." She kissed her and Angelica kissed back. Fiona ran her finger up and down Angelica's arm, still smiling. "It's nice when it's just us like this."

"It's uncommon."

Fiona smiled. "I think it makes it more special when we do." She kissed her again.

"True."

Fiona smile became flirtatious again. "What are we waiting for?"

Angelica lifted Fiona's shirt up and kissed her stomach. Fiona giggled and teasingly tried to push her off, but Angelica stayed put and moved up until she was at Fiona's neck.

"Stop it," Fiona giggled playfully.

Angelica went further up and kissed Fiona on the lips. Fiona smiled and kissed back. Angelica shed her own shirt and held Fiona close as she continued kissing her.
