Fiona climbed out of the car. She waited for Angelica. "I think I'll go for a walk. I need some air." |

She turned to her. "When will the day come that you listen to me?" she said coldly. |

"I will save you the consequences of that last remark by not dignifying it with a response. Now if I don't mind, I'll be back in an hour. Play your silly paranoid games if you wish, just don't involve me." Fiona replied and began walking down the street. She was going To find a quiet spot and do some research, if she didn't want time alone she would have done this at the hotel but sometimes she needed her own space. |

Except Fiona's words fell on deaf ears. Before she had had even replied, Angelica had turned and walked into the building, ignoring her wife. She knew Fiona's behavior too well. She knew that the other woman liked to say what she wanted to say then walk away without a reply. Therefore every time Fiona refused to listen to reason, Angelica simply ignored her and left. She didn't have time to waste, and she was far more experienced in this field than Fiona could dream. Angelica took lip from no one, blond weather manipulator or not. And you could bet that there would be consequences. There were always consequences. Angelica walked into the hotel, again taking out her phone, which also served as a type of unhackable communicator and computer. Several guards had been posted around the area since the Volkovas' arrival. Angelica spoke as she walked to the elevator. She ordered them to watch over Fiona but also to watch the hotel too, especially while they were staying there. They were to wait for a man who fit the description she gave them. She hung up and entered the elevator. She went to the top floor. |

Fiona figured Angelica would have her followed and protected, and she wouldn't tell Angelica this, but she was secretly grateful. Since the baby's conception she had been more appreciative of Angelica's over protective ways, but it didn't mean she agreed with them all of the time. For a start, no-one would be foolish enough to follow them so obviously across the world. And she would prove it. Fiona walked until she arrived at a grassed area, a small park. It was surprisingly quiet. The only other people in the park was a dog walker and a couple holding hands and both parties were fairly far away and not interested in the slightest with her. Which only worked in her favour. She sat down on a bench. The most obvious way to test her theory was to call the hotel and speak to the person, but she didn't know his name. So she had to make up a story to get his name so she could talk to him. Now what lie could she tell to achieve that? She began to ponder. Fiona thought one way she could check was get a live steam of the hotel from their CCTV, but a skilled hacker she was not, and she didn't want to have to explain to anyone at home the reason why. She could phone but it was possible someone could put on a voice. She needed live video evidence. As she sat thinking a way around her predicament the man, Roma, walked towards her. One of the men sent to guard Fiona stepped out in his path. "James." Fiona spoke firmly. "Mrs Volkova I cannot allow him to approach you." "I will decide whom is allowed to approach me or not." "Mrs. Volkova I must insist." "James, let him past." Fiona commanded. It was his final warning. James stepped aside glaring at Roma has he walked past and sat down beside Fiona. Fiona gave him a small smile. "Is your warm smile no longer present because of me?" He asked. "I'm just thinking about something, that's all." "I feel it is my fault and I must apologise. You friend does not like me." "It's my wife, and it's nothing personal, she's like that with most people. Even me sometimes." Roma gave a hearty chuckle. "She seems to be very... Protective." Fiona smiled warmly back. "That is one way of putting it." "That is the smile I remember." Roma mused looking Fiona in the eyes. "Now if you have magic make up wand in your arsenal of good features I'd appreciate it." "I can assist you with your troubles if you allow me." "There is one thing I would like help with. Are you any good with computers?" Fiona asked. "Yes. What do you need help with?" "We own a small empire. One of which is a hotel in England. I want to access the camera's to ensure the employees are doing their jobs properly, but I can't remember how to do it. I'm certainly blonde when it comes to technology. Could you help?" "I can attempt to. Do you have a computer?" Fiona nodded and handed him the tablet from her handbag. Fiona gave him the details of the hotel and half an hour later had a live steam of the hotel reception upon the Tablet computer. "You're a star." Fiona said smiling has she watched. "There is a man who looks very much like me." Roma commented watching over her shoulder. "Yes, wow, that's amazing, perhaps you were separated at birth." Fiona mused. "It is indeed a odd coincidence." Roma said smiling. Fiona stood satisfied with her findings. "Can I take you up on your offer of a drink? And this time it's my turn to say thank you." "I would appreciate that." Roma said and also stood. The pair (closely followed and monitored by the guards) made their way to the hotel chatting away like old friends. Roma asked more questions about the baby and Fiona asked him some questions. 'Are you married, children, where he came from? The usual. The pair continued to talk has they walked into the hotel bar. Fiona knew Angelica would be looking out for Roma and knew the pair arriving together meant it wouldn't be long before Angelica joined them. Fiona ordered a Virgin Mary (Tomato juice on it's own.) him a Russian beer called a Pivo and Angelica a glass of red wine for her eventual arrival. |

She almost did not arrive. The last thing she wanted was to be anywhere near Fiona at the moment. But she wasn't going to let the man intrude on her 'territory', and she needed to know what he was planning. She arrived and sat near her. She took the glass. "Have you concluded your rebellious teenager fit?" she asked coolly, ignoring the man. |

Fiona glanced at her wife ignoring the comment. She slide her tablet towards Angelica. She'd left it on the live feed of the hotel watching the man who looked identical to the one in front of them. "I apologise for her Roma." Fiona said. He gave a small smile. "It is alright, she is causing no harm." Fiona smiled back. "So are you here on holiday?" Fiona asked. "I am here on business trip." Roma explained. "So you're not from here?" "No, I live in next city to here, but business are paying hotel so I have no need to commute." |

Angelica was disgusted at the woman next to her, but her body and voice were controlled. "You think that your plan hinges on the pathetic naivety of my wife. Your own naivety would almost be sad if it had no benefit for me. Know this: You made a dire mistake the day you decided to cross paths with a born Volkova. It is only a pity I cannot say the same for my fool of a wife." She shot a look of disgust at Fiona. "I am returning to the hotel, and if you do not come with me, the guards will bring you themselves. This vacation of yours is over." She stood again. |

Fiona had been trying not to get angry or stressed. After all it wasn't good for the baby, but she felt her blood boiling at that moment. She drained her drink wishing it was something stronger and calmly looked to Roma. "Excuse me." She said in has calmer voice has she could muster. Roma simply nodded not wanting to get any more involved. Fiona stood and walked away without waiting for Angelica. She was going to their hotel room, not because Angelica commanded and threatened her but to sort this out. Regardless of whether is caused a row or not. And she knew with the way she felt it was probably more likely going to be the former. |

Angelica hadn't bothered waiting for Fiona. She knew she would come regardless. In the ride back to the hotel, she checked up on the guards' positions. All was calm, according to them. She went up to the suite. |

((Calm for them. Not for Angelica. She's litterally got a storm brewing. Hehe.)) Fiona entered the suite and shut the door slightly harder than she intended. She folded her arms and glared at Angelica. "What the hell is your problem?" Fiona asked venomously. |

((Well Angelica is not one to be played with. She has a reputation for a reason. And she's definitely not wrapped around fiona's finger like she lets her think sometimes.)) She turned to her. "My problem?" She laughed softly. "As always, your naive need to see the 'good' in everyone leads you into danger. When I married you I supposed that you were smarter than that. The fact that two men from the same region look alike and meet us within two days is so very obvious, yet you cannot even see past the transparent front. I am far more experienced than you, but you refuse to believe your own wife. No, instead you choose to trust a complete stranger who has every reason to harm us and no other reason to make himself close to you. Do you believe I haven't seen this already? That countless people have not made this very attempt? I do not tell you these things. You are so delicate that you forbid even the thought of reality shattering your perfect family holiday." She regarded her with calm contempt. |

"Angelica, I love you and I respect your opinion, but jealousy really doesn't suit you." Fiona said, there was venom in her words. |

She raised an eyebrow. "You still refuse to see reason. It is obvious to even the blindest imbecile that I am far above that man. He cannot so much as dream of reaching my level, and I could never feel jealousy for a maggot whose lot in life is to crawl on his stomach, feeding off rot. It has never been my desire to exist at the bottom of the food chain." She smiled shrewdly. "But this conversation has been enlightening. Your accusations of paranoia and jealousy reveal your inner thinking--that you see him as something I should be jealous of. Careful with your words, darling. You know nothing escapes my notice." |

"I'm glad you have such trust in me." Fiona replied sarcastically. "You're the same every time I even look at someone outside of the team. You act like this. The only way I can explain it is that you're jealous. What do you want me to do, sweetheart? Do you want me to stay silently by your side like a well behaved puppy. Only speaking when you allow me to?" |

She laughed. "Like a child, you still refuse to listen. My new-found lack of trust for you could not possibly have to do with your own distrust of my judgement. That would be too reasonable an explanation for you, no?" She turned to the bedroom. "As I stated, I have no reason to be jealous of any underling you choose to give your misguided attention to. And make no mistake, misguided judgement is the issue here. You want to believe that no one has followed us to ruin our honeymoon and put us and the baby in danger, therefore that is what you choose to believe. You refuse to believe that there have been no coincidences. You want to believe that those two men are not connected in any way. My instinct has not yet failed in keeping us safe and victorious, yet you still mistrust me and my intentions. So I won't waste my breath on you any longer," she snapped. She regarded her once more. "The truth is always revealed eventually, one way or another. And it will happen my way." She turned and walked into the bedroom. |

Fiona didn't bother following Angelica into the bedroom. She had reached the point where she was more hurt and upset than angry, that and in the few moments of silence she'd realised the baby was kicking wildly. She needed to calm herself down, stress wasn't good for unborn children and she hoped the kicking wasn't a bad sign. Fiona laid herself down on the sofa in the room and curled up has best her stomach would allow and remained silent. A few stray tears fell and she wanted to be anywhere but her current location. Unfortuatly she felt if she were to leave the room at that moment it would cause even more trouble with Angelica and she just didn't have the energy. Fiona decided to wait until morning to clear her head even if somewhere in the dark places of her mind her anger still simmered. |
