I forget exactly how it works, but I think after you use a unit special attack (like katana troops' death wheel or spearmens' spear wall, etc.) and then hit the R1 button, you can do extra damage with a combo. It's a very useful move. Anyways, what Sakon says is true. I don't use Nobunaga or Mitsuhide unless I have to. For Mitsuhide, that's practically never. For Nobunaga, that's a lot, however.
