I guess KOEI wasn't satisfied with SW2XL being the last Warriors game on the PS2. Clearly not. Or are you also not aware of Gundam Musou's "upgraded port" coming for the PS2 next month, too? Besides, you can't really blame 'em, so much. Their PS3 games' sales haven't exactly sold to their expectations. If the market isn't up to snuff, then why should Koei stick their necks out, and lose more money all the while? I'm sure Sangoku Musou 5 will probably remain a continued entity on the PS3, but these PS2 games are necessary to even make it so that Koei and Omega Force will have the funds to supply such ventures...
