As we may have heard, a new Sengoku Musou is supposed to come out sometime this year. Thusly, new characters may very well come with such a release. Thus, I've fished in my brains for the ten folks I'd most like to see appear. Motonari Mori -Self-explanatory. He, along with Ujimasa, should be the "stars" of SW3 like Nobunaga/Yukimura and Ieyasu/Mitsunari were in SW1/SW2. Story would be fictional after Gassantoda. Stages: Gassantoda, Shikoku Campaign, Kyushu Campaign, Takamatsu, Osaka Campaign Ujimasa Hojo -Normally one would think I would go for Ujiyasu, but I feel Ujimasa would fill in just as well as his dad, and I think he makes for a more colorful character as well. Stages: Odawara, Mimasetoge, Kanagawa, Odawara Campaign, Mikatagahara Terumoto Mori -Motonari's grandson and heir. Led the Mori against the Oda and Hashiba, and later participated in the Shikoku Campaign and Sekigahara. Stages: Gassantoda, Kizugawaguchi, Takamatsu, Shikoku Campaign, Sekigahara Dosan Saito -The Viper of Mino could make for good expansion on Nobunaga's pre-Okehazama years and relations with Nobunaga/Nouhime. Stages: Komaki-Nagakute, Inabayama, Nagashino, Kizugawaguchi, Kyushu Campaign -Gives Kenshin a better officer, plus it opens up possible battles with Katsuie or Masamune. Stages: Kawanakajima, Odawara, Ueda, Hasedo, Osaka Campaign Katsuyori Takeda -Shingen's heir, gives perspective to late Takeda battles not involving Yukimura(again.) Stages: Mimasetoge, Mikatagahara, Nagashino, Temmokuzan, Honnoji Tadaoki Hosokawa -Gracia's husband, and temporarily a supporter of Mitsuhide. Fought in Sekigahara for Ieyasu. Stages: Kizugawaguchi, Yamazaki, Odawara Campaign, Sekigahara, Osaka Nobutada Oda -Nobunaga's son, won battles against Hisahide Matsunaga and Katsuyori Takeda. Stages: Odani, Nagashino, Kizugawaguchi, Temmokuzan, Honnoji Masanobu Kosaka -One of Shingen's Four Great Generals and his butt-buddy(lol). Was instrumental to the Takeda victory at Kawanakajima and composed the famous Koyo Gunkan war manual. Argued with Katsuyori a lot. Stages: Ueda, Kawanakajima, Mimasetoge, Mikatagahara, Nagashino Mine Imagawa -Yoshimoto Imagawa's daughter. Married Yoshinobu Takeda to strengthen their clans' alliance, but later convinced Yoshinobu to rebel against his father Shingen. Stages: Okehazama, Kawanakajima, Mikatagahara, Nagashino, Temmokuzan Replacing one of the above with the following. Naoshige Nabeshima -The most capable officer under Takanobu Ryuzoji. He would later take the reins from Takanobu's son after Takanobu's death and supported Hideyoshi in the Kyushu campaign, and Ieyasu at Sekigahara by fighting Western army elements in Kyushu. Stages: Okitanawate, Kyushu Campaign, Odawara Campaign, Control of Kyushu, Shimazu Showdown at Osaka |
