This is my first, and when it comes down to it, one of my favourite games in the franchise. It's just so incredibly fun and - to me - difficult. I remember the first time I ever played the Nanman Campaign; Zhuge Liang was one hit away from death and I ended up sticking close to him for the entire time. The level of fun tension was enormous to me, and it still ranks that way on a personal level.

OMG, the Nanman Campaign was so freakin' hard. The only way I can beat it with Wu is to play as the commander (Lu Xun, I think) or Zhou Tai. I've never beaten it for Wu without using 1 of those 2 characters. And while Shu's is easier, it's still insanely hard. It's also fun too, so it's the perfect mix. The map itself was awsome, and the battlefield surroundings were great. I really loved those 2 long strips of jungle, along with the poison lake and Nanman temple at the bottom of the map. It was the perfect level design. DW5's Nanman Campaign was a little disappointing for me. The map wasn't bad, but you can't come off of DW4's amazing battle and call DW5's worthy.

I'll also add that I really liked those hidden battles you play. The ones like "Eliminate Zhang Jiao!", the one where Wei fights Yuan Shao in a post Guan Du battle, and the one where Wu fights Dong Zhuo in a post Hu Lao Gate battle. They may not of been historically accurate, but I just don't care. Those extra battles were fun, plain and simple.
