But Ranmaru still isn't a requirement. Though I find it strange that the weapon aquisition does not state a time limit either. Well, the hint does mention "defeat two famous enemy officers". It could also refer to Hideyoshi and Mitsuhide, but I don't know for sure since I've never left anyone alive. Time limit is not always mentioned. I'd remember Kojiro's 5th also has a time limit even though it's not said in the hint.
