Even the genre of softer-angsty-but-I'm-still-cool-rock that Nicholas Tse usually sings in is appropriate for Cao Pi, and.... well, yeah. It sounds like he sang it! I have one that's for a character and a bit situational. RUI's Tsuki no Shizuku (the singer is actually Shibasaki Kou (of Battle Royale fame); RUI is a character she played) is a song that's contextually, how I imagine Yue Ying feeling after Zhuge Liang dies. The entire peice, despite being very heartbreaking, is inherently dignified and optimistic - accepting the relationship for what it was and how important it was, while being able to move on.
