They appear wheter the fire attack succeeds, or when you enter the Wu camp if you prevented it. The DW4 version was my fav, since there was a lot to do and it was pretty challenging too. There are lots of generals who appear at the wrong place and the wrong time (Zhuge Liang, or Zhou Tai with the 2 Qiaos) Wu side was pretty fun too if you played Nan Territory before this one, then you get a hyper Guan Yu after you.
