I loved Dynasty warriors 3 at the first time i have played that game, but when i had 4XL, i liked even more, and thats when i started to love DW as my favorite game. The reasons are obvious, i loved all the histories, characters. And i spend some "Worth Hours" in the mini games, VS, and Co-oP. Like you said Zhao Yun: The time of our Youth was the most important one
