Lu Meng. Not always my favorite to play as, but he was historically great and his characterization is made of win. He's my #2 most favorite character ever, second only to Cao Ren. I loved what I saw of Meng's personality in DW6. He's mature, thoughtful, and prudent, yet not without sass, as he smacks Gan Ning upside the head for calling him "old man". Historically, Lu Meng improved himself by learning about strategy to become a skilled all-around commander. I haven't delved into his history and game characterization deeply enough to see how well they match up, but it all seems plausibly coherent to me. Lu Meng's costumes may not have been very unique until DW6, but his face has always been. Meng consistently seems adult and knowledgeable, with some degree of ruggedness. (And he's handsome. :P) His DW6 costume is utterly fantastic. It has elements of academic robes and the garb of a traveler, reflecting the journey that Meng took to become such a talented strategist and leader. |
