The Welsh Robin Hood? Well...I suppose to people WHO LIVE in England there's a clear delineation between Wales and the Loxley/Sherwood/Knottingham area. It's all pretty much one country now, I'd say though.

Buuuuuut then again if you say a New Yorker is a red-neck from Alabama you're going to get your nose broken AT LEAST so yeah, don't mean to step on toes there.
Actually, you'll find the distinction is clear on both sides, so the 'Welsh Robin Hood' is a fair statement in that sense :3 Wales has a separate indentity to England. It has its own boundaries, one that does not equate to a county/regional divide (each country has its own further regional divides like in your example). We are all part of the same Kingdom, but we're still seperate countries within it. I suppose it's a strange concept to a non-Brit, especially since the UK is so small.

Not to say that I'm at all offended, but just to clarify it for you. :3
