Eleven years after Yoshimoto, and only two years before Shingen and three years before Nagamasa. They've been generous in letting Shingen, Kenshin, and Motochika live longer than they should in their stories, so there's that for Motonari as well. None of his sons are particularly good choices except maybe Kobayakawa Takakage. The most likely choice instead of Motonari would be his grandson and heir Terumoto.
