To clear this stage, you have to get Kanetsugu to meet up with his allies (specifically Yukimura, IIRC). Just clear the path for him back to where Yukimura is, or just have Yukimura on your team, and let them meet. Then, at some point after meeting up, the Sorcerer appears once Fu Xi arrives and then the gate will open to Sun Wukong once the Sorcerer is defeated.
