Some addendum here.
In short, the first three missions are already very self explanatory as Richie has stated. Now for the ones below it.

The 4th mission depends on who you're playing as. If you're playing as a male, it'll be a mission where you attract ladies (恋の鍔迫り合い); if you're playing a female character, the mission will be reverse which is attracting guys. (愛のスペシャルアタック！)

And the next 4 missions are, in short:
5. 少年よ大志を抱け - Your allies will be teen boys
6. 時には剣の似合う少女のように - Your allies are teen girls
7. 青年たちの主張 - Your allies are youths (young men & women)
8. 最後の世代 - Your allies are adults

From there, the next Friendship missions are ones where you can unlock characters, and furthermore from those ones are missions that you get by accepting invitations to join factions like Earth Federation, Neo Zeon, League Militaire or ZAFT.
