Sorry for the late response. Rise to Power and Iron Triangle are noticeably different. ---RtP--- -Turn-based strategy phases where you build up your fiefs in small individual castle maps -Real-time battles fought in fields/mountains maps or around castle towns -Seven playable scenarios -Ability to train officers' stats with special facilities/trainers -Battles are fought one at a time, and can only have a max of two clans per side with 12 officers max each side -Officer stats are decently balanced: Someone with 58 Lead can still feasibly defeat someone with 85 Lead based on other factors ---IT--- -Real-time strategy phases(can be paused) where you build up your country on a near-full-scale map of Japan -Inclusion of Technology and negotiating trade with other daimyo -Nine playable scenarios, each can also be played in Local Mode which involves just a section of Japan for a quick game -Challenge mode, which is actually CHALLENGING -Ability to edit stats of historical officers -Battles are all fought when they happen along with anything else going on, and can involve as many officers/clans as who get involved -Officer stats are more biased towards higher stats: That same guy with 58 Lead will have a tough time with the 85 Lead guy Both games keep original Japanese voices in-game, while the narration is suitably well-done in English. I prefer Iron Triangle, myself. |
