It implies that the existing character made a change. It's not like the character in the game WILL HAVE BEEN a boy and become a girl. It's just taking the idea of the character, and making it a girl. No real 'change' for the character itself. Like other people said, he's accepted as a female personal around Japan, so don't let it worry you. ZOMG SLEEVES HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS FTW!
