First of all, the explanation: Me and my girlfriend love doujin, especially when our favorite characters are involved in. In an U.R.C. circle doujin's, Lu xun is transformed into a girl by Zhang Jiao, leader of the Yellow Turbants. So, let's have fun and make a "Girl Lu Xun" Cosplay ! She will do the girl Lu Xun, and I take the boy's one. I separate all the differents parts: - The tunic 1st and 2nd Part - The armband - The hat - The shoes - The twin swords I'll post patterns i use when i draw them clearly... Do Not Forget: If you don't understand something, please PM me. Understand that i have not finished yet. I'm making the costume during the weekends, i'll edit the message as soon as possible. I'll give you what kind of cloth or material I used. Now, the pictures: Lu Xun The Tunic, Materials: - Red cloth with satin effect. - Gold ribbon The main piece of the tunic Make this piece of paper 2 times, it will be the front. To make the back, just make "a mirrored piece" and link the to piece of paper by the longer side. So you have 2 small pieces and one larger piece. Attached them on the wrong side. I put needles on the shoulders and on the two side. Once linked As you can see, the "glossy" side is inside. You now must sew on the wrong side. Then return the tunic on the right side: tadaaa, you have the fisrt part of the tunic ! Once sewed I have cut and sewed the other part of the tunic. Then i put yellow ribbon all around. I used some glu especially made for tissu. Then i have found a pattern of pants. I cut it and sewed as on the pattern. Picture at the back of this page. --------------- The armband Materials: Same as the tunic To make the armband, I cut 2 times these parts: Parts to cut The parts, sewed: Here the armband I don't have finished yet, i must buy some gold ribbon... ---------------- The Hat In some cardboard paper, i cut rectangular piece , a discal piece and 2 special piece to do the front and the back of the hat. Then I put a layer of vynilic glu, then a layer of paper. (repeat 2 or 3times) pic a day later, paint it red, make the silver lines. when it is done Then cut the 'wing' into paper. Cut the same foam than earlier . You must have as many wing of foam than of paper. Cut the foam wings into small 'feather'. Then, glue it on the paper and paint them gold. here the picture With the foam and the cardboard paper. Do all the curved line. Paint it gold and do some details with the 3D gold painting.
