And i have to bought brown shoes...) EDIT: In my reorganization, this third post is for the weapons. The twin swords Materials: - Polystyren (I don't know how to translate the adjective "Extrudé" from French to English...) Here comes the "polystyrene extrudé" It's like polystyrene with white balls but... with no balls. It is often used to insulate the houses from noise. You can buy it in Do-it-youself shop. The polystyren (You can see silver color on it, it was a test with painting in aerosol suitable for polystyren the picture Here ) Now the blade: 80 cm long about 20 cm large. You can easily cut it with a cutter. Begin with drawing a sketch of the blade with chalk, then cut little by little in order to make the sword more in details. This is nearly finished. I carved some details in the sword: Here I made a second sword, I cut, carved ans sanded. The with polyvinylic glue and newspaper, you must cover the blade and the handle in order to make a metallic effect with the painting. Putting the painting directly on the polystyren make a "stone effect" so you must put the newspaper to transform it in a "metallic effect" Put a layer of glue, then newspaper, and another layer of glue. 24h after you can paint it. So it will normally be like that: picture I bought two transparents eggs (usually it is in order to make your own christmas balls...). And i painted the interrior side in red. Then I fix it on the sword with glu suitable for polystyren (again and again...) the swords Here half of a egg on the sword You can see on picture a little yellow line. I have just done the little curved line with some 3D effect painting (the painting will become bright gold 24h after.) The swords are finish !! For the girl Lu Xun, another type of sword was chosen. Same method as before: The swords some details The red things are a kind of foam rubber. ( We wanted to custom this swords ,so we've put two little bells. Gan Ning X Lu Xun is the best of classic ou Yaoi pairing XD ) I painted handle in gold and i recovered handle with ribbon. One sword done ! You just have to do the same for the other sword.
