Historical representation? Why not have actual representation in the form of actual Shinobi who served Yukimura? Is it just that she was fun to play? Well, clearly KOEI has given her moveset and likeness to Nene, so... Nene is a much worse character though, the moveset was different, but likely improved from, but the personality of Nene was horrid in comparison. Much less enjoyable to play as Nene. People loved her as a character, so they want her back. That includes weapons, interactions, and general personality. Any historical kunoichi taking that place could not have a similar personality logically, as it would more than likely not fit who it takes the name of (though it could still be done), and Nene is far from a substitute of her. Though, some, if not many, of the people hoping for Kunoichi do still agree they will probably be given a name, yet still be 'Kunoichi', even if not in name.
