Motonari was in the same generation with Nobuhide and Dosan. actually motonari lived until 1571 so he would still be around for about half of nobunagas career. he just never openly faced off against nobunaga in his life. on another note you should have just edited your first post rather than make a new one Dosan was born in 1494, Motonari was born in 1497 while Nobunaga was born in 1534. Clearly they were from different generation. Nobunaga was probably in the same generation with Takamoto Mori and Mitsuhide.
