4 and 6 are both good from the older series. Wouldn't go more far back then 4 if you truly do not just wanna be nostalgic. As I said, damn, the musics are painful *rofl*

Also on 6, be afraid of the tribes, be very very afraid. Especially on PC version ! They have superior troop types to you, and more of them. Luckily they love having horsemen on mountains at the north so... *haha*
