I'm stuck to get the 1000kos to get the gaiden stage of the samurai....Any help??

Go into the central garrison and let all the enemy peons spawn out of the gate. Don't kill Masamune because he is the one that allows the enemies to spawn the out of gate. Once you reach aa good amount of knockouts just finish the game and you should have at least over 1000+ KOs once you encounter Da Ji.
