I love both of them. SW1 Kawanakajima: Uesugi Side was the very first Samurai Warriors stage I ever played, and I have fond memories. I prefer the night setting of SW1 to the afternoon setting of SW2. Kenshin and Shingen throwing ploys back and forth at each other in the first was great. In SW2, though, it seemed to me like Shingen had the ace up his sleeve every time, which really wasn't the case historically. "You saw my cavalry coming and vanished? No big deal. An ambush near my main camp? Feh, I've had worse." I like how in SW1 Shingen and Kenshin kept going blow for blow. The main camp-charge cutscene is fantastic, too, and the pincer attack in SW1 is vastly superior to SW2's one. I also love how in SW1 on Kenshin's side, you needed to prioritize the missions if you were playing alone. |
