Both good characters indeed.

Most of the worse characters I accept because they are passable or I never liked too much to begin with, but Hanzo becoming shadow, shadow, shadow is the worst offender to me :beard:

He did go on quite a bit about the light and the darkness stuff, he was sort of Yukimura's foil, appearing in most of his stages and very commonly having a sort of banter

But most importantly he was actually a character. Kind of cliche in some aspects, but a good one none the less. Not one note.

And on the gameplay side, the ninja paths in his stages were VERY important, unlike in 2 where they are just wee side things normally
Exception I think is Osaka?

With that logic, guessing you're not a huge kotaro fan? :P

Get out :beard:

I don't mind Kotaro actually, always like a bit of Chaos

It's odd, because Kotaro actually has emotion behind his words, he felt like a character. SW2 Hanzo didn't to me because obviously sticking with the whole reserved and mostly emotionless Ninja thing but always Shadow.

I like kotaro for that same reason too. Sure hes a one liner, but he at least smiles and frowns and gets angry and stuff. Also, he's kind of a troll. Like when he teleports Hojo to the other side of the map in SW2. :beard:

I stil like Hanzo a lot though. Cool design +moveset.

Also why I can like Ma Chao :innocent:

Oh yeah, I do like Hanzo, don't get me wrong, just don't like his character in SW2

He also doesn't stand on any horses, which is obviously a negative in itself.

Hanzo in SW3, wasn't a bit better? He had a nice bond with Nene there :innocent:

I'll be honest, I never played much of SW3, never really got into it
Hanzo was my brothers character, so didn't bother doing him while I did play :P

Should probably go back to it at some point, my Wii in general has just been collecting dust

Only games I really properly played on it are Super Smash Bros Brawl and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Enjoyed fighting some KWers in Brawl

I never played SW3 too, I don't care about this game much, my favorite characters are useless there -_-

I hope SW4 will be better :hmmm:

I have so little expectations for any Koei game, because to me none will ever live up to DW3 and SW1 :kurokan:
Well Warriors games I suppose.

Even though DW8 isn't perfect, I think they are going in a good direction with it, from what it sounds like.

Above all I just want the aggressive soldiers back. -_-

I just want waves of enemies not to die like flies honestly.
The gameplay just felt so hollow in 7 becase everything died way too easy aside from officers.

And harder difficulties it became better, but archers became far too cheap for it to be really enjoyable unless going in already really strong.
Kind of like DW3 with the archer bit actually, just they are more numerous and as such fire more frequently in 7, but they also lack any impact, just chip the HP away.

Just wasn't any real form of proper balance in it. I prefer 5 soldiers on screen compared to 50 zombies.

What's particularly funny is, comparing 7 to 2 and 3, those 5 soldiers posed a much greater threat AND were harder to kill than the 50 in 7 :P
Even if the 50 guys were being aggressive, the damage difference is large.

Even killing 1000 in DW7 felt like nothing at all, had to earn that in every one before it :beard:

I know. I should not be able to kill 2000 people on average without standing at a gate. :beard:

Only thing I never want back is the auto lock on thing.

Exactly :P

I still feel as far as enemies and levels went, DW2 did it best, but with so limited levels wouldn't have as much to make, so kind of makes sense.

Never played DW2. Since DW3 was practically just DW2 with better graphics I figured why buy it?

Completly different maps and feel, but generally the better game. DW2 only had 1st weapons essentially, no weapon or item system, a more fixed moveset animation (i.e. no way to move while attacking, just straight forward), so mechanically it was just worse, but difficulty and map wise, easily my favourite

Plus I just liked the atmosphere of it, but yeah, generally DW3 is better as a game. No co-op in 2 either, which was a great addition to 3 :P
