Well I would only hope that DW8 if DW2 and 3 combined with better graphics + the new characters.

I also like the BGM better back in the old days.

But it won't be

DW3 really blew me away with it's advancements from 2. I mean it played smoother, added weapon system, item system, extended movesets based around the weapon, personalised cutscenes with unique dialogue on most stages, co-op, many new levels and characters, just too much to name really.

Since then never half the advancements

As do I, but at least it's still good, just not as good :ph43r:

DW3 really was great. :kurokan:

The thing I hate is when people say all DW's are exactly the same. Similar yes, but you cannot play DW7 than play DW3 and tell me they are the same game

Yeah, same.

The closest to each other are 3 and 5. Aside from them they are all entirely different in a good number of aspects.

Especially DW6. I mean it's an entirely different combat system. I did no research about DW6 before I bought it, and then was extremely confused when I started playing

4's always my favourite. Just the feel of it was perfect, character and stage designs, BGM, menus and cutscenes styles, everything. Perfect DW game.

A lot of people agree with that :ph43r:

I think the thing that made me not like it as much is quite a few stages are just cuts of other ones, with different bits of the stage made available and maybe different time or weather

I was never a huge fan of DW4, I don't really know why. It just seemed.. slow? Like travelling, fighting, everything.

It without a doubt has my favorite BGM though.

I liked the way they did stages like that. They were split by region I think. It felt as though you were fighting at the same place, just at a different point in the story.

Might be something for me also, I really can't place why DW4 never stood out as much to me.

DW5 didn't really either, but it was the end of an era :P

But DW4 certainly does have an amazing soundtrack :ph43r:

Yeah, certain ones I did also like it. Most noteably Jing and all the Jing based levels.

I am, but there is a reason I haven't actually added any to my playlist of game soundtracks :innocent:

Although I do really like SW1/SW1XLs music. SW2 not so much.

Plus I always assosiate them to levels being part of why i like them, rather than DWs where I just like them.

My favoute SW song is one from one of Keiji's levels, City of Flowers

2nd favourite might be SW1:XL's Komaki-Nagakute

DW5's sound track is a bit meh for me. Too few stand out tracks on it.

ONLY HANZO SHOULD BE DOING THIS MUCH NINJAING!

I disliked Crush 'em all only because of how frequent it was :kurokan:

Also unsure what my favourite of 4 is... Eve, Avenging Battle or Parade of Death I think. Maybe Wall of Fate (which was the first DW song I went out my way to record before finding this place >_<)

DW5 didn't have as many outstanding I agree to, but Swordsmen on the Plains, DualNRG, Smileless, Run, Run Run, quite a few that I liked myself.
