I like the idea of Zero, also. I'd just rather he had been another person, perhaps one teased throughout the arc. Like, the staff. We find out when everyone is already defeated that he is actually a... thing, and then, he is destroyed immediately after by Zero. I mean, in that case, they could have made Zero the staff, instead. It was almost obvious that there was a catch, but to me, it seems that as bad as Oracion Seis was supposed to be, Brain and Nightmare, supposedly the two strongest, were done in rather quickly and definitively, by the alliance's strongest. I would have liked to see more of a battle between Brain and Jura, or for that matter, between Nightmare and Erza. Jura completely manhandled Brain, and Erza basically proved why she was a legend with few equal. To bad half of that had to do with her eyes, which is the 2nd time this series that her eye has saved her from such powers. I liked how she used her own body to do damage against him, but then, the whole "Midnight, my power grows" thing sort of killed what was beginning to be a very interesting battle. Almost reminded me of Mystogan's short-lived showdown against Laxus... I suppose cutting down on the competition with simple explanations does stop an arc from getting too lengthy. But then, so does adding a surprise boss at the end of said arc. Meh... I'm not sure what games I'm passionate about anymore. NBA 2K... To some extent, Assassin's Creed... Yeah, even if it turned out the staff was needed to release the true Zero rather than just all his guys losing might've been a bit more interesting ![]() The staff ended up seeming quite pointless. I dunno though about the Nightmare fight, it felt a lot like Erza had pretty much won already since she'd figured out the weakness to his abilities. Then the midnight stuff came, and she could just see through it, so it didn't add or detract IMO. If Nightmare had pulled something else out that actually did effect things, that'd have been nice, but I feel he had a nice set of powers as a whole anyway. Unfortunately for you, I don't think you see a 'Mystogan' fight properly for a LONG time. Like 160s or so. Edited by Sanada, Thu Nov 14, 2013 10:34 am.

Erza started winning when she saw his weakness, yes, but then it felt like the whole ""Nightmare" bit was just tacked on for no reason at all. In fact, she could have finished him off when she told him of his weaknesses. That would have been a bit more satisfying, than to be let down by what I thought was the reason Nightmare was, indeed, the strongest of Oracion Seis... Indeed, I would have liked him to pull out some sort of magic that actually worked for once. The whole sequence was just meh... I do, however, like the fact that Zero basically kicked natsu, gray, and Lucy's butt, and how they have to rise up to be the final 3 to destroy the lacrima. But it is still going to piss me off, because out of the members of the alliance, Wendy is the only one who seems to have any sort of Magic left in her, and I want to see how they are going to spin that ANY one of them, besides the one who can't fight, is strong enough to take out the man who went through Fairy Tail's strongest team in about a minute. And that sucks... My favorite part of Fairy Tail has been Mystogan, just the mystery surrounding his character... By far my favorite fairy tail-er. Edited by Zhou Yin, Thu Nov 14, 2013 10:56 am.

I'd actually say how they resolve that isn't a bad way, surprisingly enough. Could it have been done better, probably, but it certainly makes sense in some respects regardless. You'll see what I mean. Also just to say, you have me rewatching random episodes now >____< I really do love that anime I must say, as much as some of it irks me

I hope so. I'm on a marathon run of it now, haha. Trying to get past this character arc, at least... I wonder if I can access the website through my PS3/4. It would be nice to look at it on a big screen... Anime has some of the best music I've heard, and Fairy Tail is up in the top 3. Especially the ending songs. Each one just seems to be better than the last, almost. I thought nothing was going to beat the fourth one, Kimi something, and then that Be As One started playing at the end of one of them, at the right time, and it was like... Wow... I was on so much of a marathon run of that anime I didn't even watch the endings, just skipped straight to the next episode, so I don't actually know them. >____< To me though it's general music I'd say is the best music I've heard in an anime. But I've heard it described as Celtic Metal, being Scottish I dig the whole Celtic part, and I'm a metalhead at heart, so I'm a bit bias for it

The show is just so unique. I mean, they constantly break the fourth wall. Natsu, in and of himself, is sort of an anti-hero. He can save the day, yes, but he will cause about as much destruction as any villain would have caused anyways. But at the same time, he is extremely flawed. While Erza seems to be the perfect warrior, and likely the person you'd pick up first to back you up in a fight, Natsu is like the guy you would bring off the bench, your 6th man of sorts, to catch the opposition off guard with his resilience. Just so long as you don't put him on any sort of transportation, anyways. It's very interesting to see. The music, indeed, is good. I love the Main theme in nearly every version of it, especially the sad piano one. And Dragon Slayer is about as epic as you can get. Just that, with anti-hero Natsu, it's almost annoying whenever he does power up. The whole "Fire in my belly" line is about the lamest catchphrase I've ever heard. He does seem to drop the catch phrase as it goes on, so that's something ![]() "Now I'm fired up" does stay, but I think that ones fine ![]() Even the style of Natsu sometimes, the shadowy figure with the glowing red eyes, kinda goes towards that anti-hero thing you're on about, although his ideals are certainly very heroic his methods are very unrestrained. I actually have the soundtrack downloaded which I put on in the background if I'm doing some Multiplayer gaming. I mentioned Chivalry, it's essentially a melee based FPS game, and it is a game I put that soundtrack on for to pump myself up

The entire soundtrack? Where'd you get that from? And yea, that's nice to know. His character has a certain charm, but it seems the things that make you laugh are the same things that'll make you grind your teeth... "Now I'm fired up" is okay. But "fire in my belly" just gives me a headache, every time. I mean, I know, you eat fire. Okay, guy. Give it a rest already, we get it... |

I can't remember, googled a torrent of it ![]() I'd recommend not doing so until you've got nearer the end though, quite a number of song names spoil fights which will happen, made that mistake while still catching up myself.

Haha. I did a bit of that, looking for songs on YouTube, already. In fact, I spoiled a bit of something which is probably not so big a part of the story, as just a character, just now... But I really want to know what this song is. Thought I remembered playing it once, but now I can't find it. |

I see. >_< Well it does have an amazing soundtrack, guess it just encourages that due to it's naming scheme ![]() Also, I have to say after watching a few of the episodes towards the end of the current lot, the anime is a strange one. Somehow it gets you so wrapped up in it that even when it seems like an anti-climactic fight you can still be satisfied and rooting for it >_< It builds it up so well normally. Although a few arcs are a bit loose there, normally only the properly big fights that get it. |

The download I found has them all in English, which was nice ![]() Well except Season 1's soundtrack, but it did have the English in the side Notes of the file, so just renamed them all ![]() Could try and list 'em for you up until the point you're at. Now done rewatching episodes, but do have my playlist of the songs on now xD From the order of the OST songs, can safely say the next arc is the one Mystogan reappears in. Well, maybe you can help me find this song. If you can find episode 66, it's the one playing while Natsu is eating the flames that Jellal gives him. Which was a nice touch, haha. I don't want to read too far into the list. I imagine its pretty early, anyways, since I've heard the song more than once, and not that recently. AWESOME!!!! Can't wait to see him again, he is by far, my favorite character. Gonna change my Facebook profile pic into a picture of him, so I can make it my avatar on PS4. Wish I could change my username on there... Alas.. Never mind... Of course, I find it right when I give up, haha Edited by Zhou Yin, Thu Nov 14, 2013 11:51 am.

Kizuna. Very good song, really invokes the feeling that it wants to, whenever it comes on. Episode 67. This is what I mean. The "Previously on Fairy Tail" part, you have Ichiya joking around, saying that he was the one who led the alliance into victory, when in fact, the only thing he has managed to do all episode was revive Jura, and remain tied up. In fact, if memory serves me correctly, he was already out of commission after just the first episode of the arc. Edited by Zhou Yin, Thu Nov 14, 2013 11:58 am.

Yea. He seems like a big joke to me, haha. I guess, though, it's kinda mean to ask them to stop making up stuff, but golden flames, flame of guilt... I don't know, it would have been nice to know there was something special about flames episodes ago, instead of being told that, oh yea, there are different levels of flames, by the way... But I see what you mean, by satisfying ending. Typical Natsu, gets his butt kicked, and then flames his way out of it... And destroys half the place in the process, haha One thing about Fairy Tail, though, is it could have went for a bit higher rating than it is. It seems like, for all the talk of destroying people, or killing them, very few people actually die. In fact, the show actually makes fun of the fact, when Angel is defeated. Brain runs on how he so sad that she is dead, and they flash to her, floating in the water... Still alive. I think some of the moments i8n this arc, in particular, would have more weight if people would have went down like they were supposed to. I know, there are a lot of fan favorites, and taking any of them out is... unfavorable, but it is a useful tool. Edited by Zhou Yin, Thu Nov 14, 2013 12:15 pm.

Yep. ![]() Why I felt like rewatching it once you pointed me to rewatching him get given the flames xD I don't know what it is, but no matter how stupid or contrived, they have the setup to make me actually appreciate it regardless >_< Even right up til the final episode currently out ![]() Will probably be the final episode when you catch up too, not been a new episode in months ![]() Apparently characters do start to die in the part where the anime cut off for now. And believe a few have actually died before it, although none of the important ones. Although the people not dying is a big issue in most shounen anime from what I can tell, normally only start killing people off quite late in. Unsurprisingly, most antagonists do return at some point after being defeated. I'm hoping it continues soon, the anime ending right in the middle of an arc, to give the manga room to get ahead. My brother reads the manga, so I know it's a fair bit on now though. Edited by Sanada, Thu Nov 14, 2013 12:19 pm.

Yea... I heard about the manga issues, also, haha. Jura and Hot Eye, both of their deaths would have had a lot of weight. It's a lot more emotional to be fighting for someone who just died, as opposed to someone who is just knocked out. Seems, half the time, they only keep them alive so that they can be available later on to fill some role. Like, saving the life of an important character. |
