Wii Party U could be fun for a family man such as yourself, but I'd definitely say Zelda is the best pick from what I've seen of them ![]() Do seem like good games, wish I had some Zelda games when growing up.

I'd probably just buy Wii Party if they really wanted it. That way, I get the newer remote too

Ever play Super Mario Brother U with one of your family on the tablet controller thing btw? Seems like it'd be good fun with someone playing on that, able to make blocks and stuff to either help or block you ![]() Or you do it to them

Yea, my oldest daughter was doing that while my wife and I were playing with the (2) little ones. Kept placing blocks in my way

Sounds about right ![]() I was watching a video of that before (well a stream) and the guys girlfriend ended up making the game harder than some nightmareish platformers with constantly doing that kind of stuff ![]() Stuff like I Wanna Be The Guy, Super Meat Boy, Bloody Trapland, probably not heard of them, but they are notoriously difficult ones that guy I was watching has beaten and a simple Mario game took more out of him because of his girlfriend opposing him

Things get out of hand when my family plays Mario. Always yelling and screaming, crying (the little ones), etc. I tend to avoid playing when that's going on. Too much drama for a Mario game for me I think next time, I'll take the tablet controller

Those fights are daily with my kids Now its fighting over the cat-suit or who gets to use Toad At least in the case of Super Mario 3D World New Super Mario U is less fighting about power-ups and more "who threw me off the ledge?" fights

Thankfully, I'm not a glutton for punishment so we avoid Mario Party like the plague Mario Kart though? We shall see how bad it will get

I doubt a race game will be quite as bad ![]() Might be, but it definitely seems a lot less set up for that kind of stuff, it is genuinely competitive to begin with ![]() Loved those types of games when I was a kid

They can't drive anyway, so might be moot point to begin with They never liked getting their balloons popped though in Battle Mode (Wii version)

Banana Peels and Three Red Shells Let's not forget the Leaf in the SNES Mario Kart game. @Sanada : Yep and you could fling banana peels in front of you. |

Only stops the red shells. Blues flew overhead and dropped on you. Unless pros figured out how with green shells ... Speaking about Wii version though ... not sure if others were possible in other versions Leaf power up was awesome. So many shortcuts possible with leaf

In the Wii version, you threw the blue shell and it flew overhead, passing all players in the air until it hovered above and then dropped on the leader. You had a split second to be able to dodge it using a mushroom. I'm guessing it traveled differently in other versions of the game
