Needs more ![]() Still not the best comparison IMO, but fair enough I suppose ![]() You have very little if any control in most QTEs beyond press this button not to fail, so it's not quite the same. |

Indeed ![]() Just watched a video of it with Xiahou Dun. Doesn't look all that bad ![]() Oddly enough, I think they did experiment with something like this in Strikeforce. When Sword users would rack up up a certain number of combo hits (I think), it would unleash a series of slashes that triggered automatically. Did notice that DW8:XL/CE allowed you to trigger Storm Rush manually. Saw a video on that too

It certainly is repetitive is it's main fault. I just dislike the elemental system in general, it forces you to change weapon if you're weak to someone, and allows you to just trump someone. When you have multiple elements of officers you'll always be weak to some and strong against others while neutral with a few too, which just makes the difficulty of an encounter entirely up in the air. If they are strong against you they cannot be staggered and hit you like a truck, while also being able to get a storm rush against you which in higher difficulties is just an insta-kill if you are out of musou. Obviously DW8 has a 2 weapon system, so can swap element yourself, but like I said, in swarms someone will almost always be strong against your element, no matter what it is. getting a Storm Rush is normally the best option unless you want to just Rage mode them which eliminates all elemental effects. |

Yep, all based on their experiments with Strikeforce. The weapon affinity, weapon switching, etc. Hmm, DW8:XL might just be right up my alley I'd have to give up quite a bit in order to get that game (DW8 as well) though

Well all that I said is in DW8 itself too, XL only adding the ability to stop the auto-storm rush, but it's not that bad, just an annoyance ![]() Might be worth giving DW8 a try if it sounds like your kind of thing, but getting XL as well probably not, even if it did make a few general improvements too it's just not worth it on a limited budget given the price of it

The budget is always easy enough to work with, its the time commitment that makes it hard DW games eventually go on sale or end up in bargain bins. I bought Strikeforce HD for PS3 for like $20 digitally in 2012 and I probably could've bought it used for even less ![]() I'm already committed to WO3U and SW4 (and now likely Hyrule if my daughter does enough convincing )

If you have time issues then you'd definitely not want to go perfectionist if you did get DW8 ![]() Ambition mode is a horrid grind I've never bothered finishing ![]() Between officer Bonds and just maxing out the city to get the final rewards.... Not to mention the 100 battles in a row with ever increasing difficulty (up to a cap) to get the War Elephant. Just becomes a slog since things take so long to kill

I've heard some of those grumblings. Not sure how I'd be able to handle that then I was thinking of getting the CE version on Vita, if I ever got one That's a BIG if though. Still need to buy more important and more expensive things before that happens

Could also save for a decent PC and get CE on that... ![]() A good PC likely not a wasted investment for a handful of reasons ![]() What I have CE on myself ![]() That suggestion seems unlikely though, Vita is significantly cheaper, even if PC would have more uses, most general uses can be achieved by pretty old hardware

True, my PC is pretty ancient by technology standards Need tablet/laptop first though for reasons PC right now is glorified file server, but still gets occasional desktop use

Reasons, eh? ![]() Reasons are so dull, where's that spontaneous Vita purchase?

Reasons - Need laptop -- Want Surface Pro 3 - Need new clutch -- Want performance clutch We found a way to spontaneously buy Wii U, but only because family wanted it. I don't need another reason for my wife to dislike me (Vita) I have to choose my battles carefully here, Rival

It was a test, rival ![]() I wouldn't suggest the Vita having never been one for mobile consoles since the Gameboy Advanced

In terms of handheld gaming an Nvidia Shield would be your best bet but the games you like aren't on it for the most part. |

Doesn't the Shield work as a streaming thing from PCs mostly? I can't remember, not heard much about it in ages

You can stream from your PC, I've seen it work from France to Los Angeles at CES.
