It's pretty much like streaming, but just for me.

And you can let me play it. Like hang the controller over. So to speak
Aha, pretty cool. If ROTKXIII is officer focused like VIII and X, but has multiple officer selection like VIII could perhaps get it on PS4, then I could play it like I used to play VIII with my brother, just pass the controller over between characters :asia:

Was fun doing that

7/10? Clearly not your kind of strategy game then, easily 9/10 for me, only issue being the battles.
Kinda. I prefer battling strategy games. :asia:

But I like it.

I prefer battling strategy myself, but this lets me play it differently to most since the actual battling isn't that interesting, which I enjoy the experience of as something fresh :P

I basically play it like I'm just the one maneuvering the units, moving them round to flank, rotating them in and out of the combat, cutting off their reinforcements and their escape routes, capturing cities while their main force is off on the attack. Really fun to play it that way for me

Guerilla warfare haha. Yea, that's one of my favorite sort of attacks, attacking when the main force is away. Learned that from Dynasty Warriors...

Although it usually doesn't go to well. They almost immediately come back to base the second I deploy. Depending on how far I am, and how far they are, I am usually looking at a battle that I can't win, and just retreat. Use it as a way to keep their power down, at least, stop them from expanding.

I specifically used that tactic to keep them in check the other day actually

Weaked the Hojo a lot in a huge war, then another clan nearby attacked the Hojo, so I assualted their base so they'd pull back and not capitalise on the Hojo I'd just weakened.
The Hojo then attacked them once I'd crushed them too, so I attacked the Hojo again, pulling back most of their forces to defend from me too.

Not quite the same though, in the initial war against the Hojo I'd sailed some units over, and had Shingen with a few troops block their escape route, but Shingen got pincer attacked by some enemy reinforcements and had to back off, then the enemies main force, withdrawing from the frontline I had crushed all rushed out and a large force went for the castle I had sailed over to

I actually took screenshots of that maneuver, I really enjoyed that war
Best part is I didn't even intend to fight the Hojo, I was preparing for the Tokugawa then the Hojo marched on me when I weakened my position on their front

Really wish you were on PS4. I would have liked to see that.

Battles get very epic once you get 4 or 5 castles under your belt, and just keep getting better the more you grow. Just having to remember to leave your flanks covered in case of situations like the Hojo. The AI is relentless. Give them an opening, and they'll teach you to never do so again.

I have heard this NA has the issue that once you get enough castles the game becomes too easy though. Right now I have 240,000 troops with 2nd most being about 100,000. Of course you can't change what castle troops are in in this game, so my main forces would take months to actually get to the frontlines as I expand, which I think might balance it out a bit, but if I focus all my forces before I start an assault it'll be over relatively easily.

Also as I said I did take screenshots, I'll put the ones from that particular engagement I explained in a spoiler, just to show what I meant exactly. Although I was also fighting the Hojo on a seperate front, and fighting the Asakura at the Oda (my allies) request at the same time
And coincidentally once I went to fight the Hojo the Tokugawa attacked me in the back too, but I used my 100 Imperial relations to force them into a Truce.

Spoiler: click to toggle

I have to look at those screenshots later...

In all honesty, Iron Triangle was the same way, and in a way, it's almost like it should be. In most cases, overwhelming force can work, but you'll find yourself losing a bit more than you'd think. But you'd still win eventually. You probably will find it easy because you have experience with strategy, but with me, it was a learning process. Cover your flank at all times, and never try an ALL-OUT strategy. No matter what.

That sounds about right, I have learnt that in the past (particularly in Total War games).
NA here I've been very reserved, keeping forces on every front that I think can at the very least hold them off while another force gets in; having the relations to call in support or perhaps even force a truce if needbe at all times.

The only exception was that Hojo war regarding the Tokugawa front, because I was in such a bad spot from the sudden Hojo assault, so had to take all my forces from Suruga away leaving it weak against the Tokugawa, but of course I managed to force a Truce with them anyway so was no big deal.

The only time you can really go all out is if you are either securely allied with the surrounding powers, have only one front to attack on or are willing to sacrifice a few castles on one front to make sure you are able to do whatever you want your full out assault for.

Also it's only about 6 screenshots, showing my fight against the Hojo main force of about 70,000 troops.
