It could also be newer means PS2 and beyond, aka FFX-FFXV.

I mean looking at time of being made, 1987-2001 from 1 to 10, they released all those games in less time than from 10 to 15

well videogames took significantly less time to make back then, right? there was like two or three years between each game, also square can't do time/resource management since for some reason they became horribly bad at it, doesn't help that the series stagnated after XII and XIII being pretty polar games and the launch of XIV being tragic until they saved it with A Realm Reborn

then again there's bazillion side-games and then direct continuations, so technically it's a lot more then it seems, just not main numbered games

edit: https://twitter.com/DoomAssistMe/status/954613376579088384 oh boy, just as we were talking about square

And yeah I wish they clarified the division point between the two halves for Dissidia, you could interpret it in many ways.

Yeah it was pretty entertaining demo :ph43r:

The combat was more fun what I thought, I kinda struggled with the controls and commamds in the beginning though

it's a bit overwhelming in the beginning, but it's pretty easy once you get into it, especially if you use the UI to your advantage, small details like "glow on his health bar is how much damage i will do with my next hp attack" or "his bravery is sparkling and purple, therefore he can kill me" really help make on-spot decision making, rest of the game is pretty much whiff(miss) punishing and situational awarness :ph43r:

i like how the game is engaging enough without requiring input gymnastics, so even people who are or feel like they are bad at fighting/multiplayer games can do well as long as they understand what to do and what their character does

Yep :hanzo:

Did you usually go for the summon core when it appeared? I most of the time just ignored it and focused on the enemies

I think the summon animations look cool but they're a bit too short

i guess it makes sense they are short tbh, so that you can get back into the action quickly, honestly part of me is glad EX Bursts are not in the game since it would draaaaag

i usually tried to go for the summon core, but it depended on the situation, like if a teammate had 20% health and was getting gangbanged at a wall i'd prioritize getting him out first, if i knew my teammates could handle themselves i would go for the core

Yeah they look more like actual UNPCs we had in games like SW1-SW3, and less like lazy CAW-characters that were in some recent games (at least some DW Empires ones)

I don't even consider those ones UNPCs

SW1 and 2 are where my head immediately goes for UNPCs at any rate.
I know 3 had Aya and Masanori, but I always forget that
