I feel like I don't care that much about Warriors games anymore
Sometimes I wish I could back to me being young (22 now) back to the days where I would play DW4 for 10-12 hours str8 and enjoyed it. Hell even other games, sometimes I miss the old days...

I mean

Yeah, at least SWXL and SW2XL were pretty decent expansions that improved the main games a lot. Never bought the DW ones, though my brother did buy DW4XL which I played a couple of times. :ph43r:

What I liked more about earlier games is more variety in modes. It's basically just Story & Free Mode now where you go through same kind of stages with generic missions. In early games, you had stuff like local versus mode, fun mini-games like Sugoroku, survival mode, opening/ending edit (that was great) and more personalized missions.

That's why SW2+XL is my favorite Warriors game because it has the ideal roster size, lots of great stories, fun secondary modes and also a pretty good English dub.

I just think Koei has lost their edge with going for stuff like open world without much thought whether it adds fun to the game or not

And yup, missing the old gaming times too. These days there's only very few games that really keep me hooked.

Kinda same with me really, i can't enjoy games like idk why. Only game i enjoy is Tekken now for the online.

Otherwise, whenever I play a game i just cant enjoy it at all. Souls series comes to 2nd place after Tekken

Too much negativity about DW9
- people complain open world and call it empty .

- combat systam is all cloned .

- EN VA is not good .

- too much glitch and bugging .

so yeah that the problem.

Today I'm more in strategy games and some RPGs.
(I like to apply the Sun Tzu's Art of War, yeah I'm a strange girl)

I don't like open world, I don't like run 10 hours for give a stone to mister NPC.
I don't like full HD, I prefer old graphism, for me HD and realism are not ''magic'', they don't give identity to the game (it's really hard to explain that).
I don't really like nervous game, for me too much action kill the action (my sentence is really bad here...)

Maybe I'm old now, but when I was child video games were video games, not movie games, or game movies, it depends what you prefer.
Too much explosions, too much cutscene, too much too much.

AAA game kill the magic, the most of time (I can't hurt Persona, I like Jung's theories in Psychology).
So the game that I (or we with my sis) buy are carefully chosen, and cheap because it takes time, so that rarely Day One :haha: .

I generally don't like open world either, cinematic style is sometimes okay if the gameplay is still good

I prefer linear, level-based games... I guess the more old school style :asia:

Yeah, when you follow slowly the story.
The game tells you a story, you are in the group, you are an actor of the story, not just a spectator.

Time change.
But sometime a game pop-up and the magic is here, like Undertale, very good surprise !
And that is not an AAA game.

I like open world medievals when it done right like Witcher 3 for example. A good RPG Open World game.
Hack & Slash is my favorite genre if u ask me duch as Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden.

In this generation Soulsborne us probably best series in gaming now

Don't die yet. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
But yeah, it hurts...
