Cao Cao. He was just too central to the story to not play.

Sun Tzu marched two of every animal onto the ark, then he beat the crap out of every last one.

Usually I'll go for good warriors who are also pretty good with INT as well, but not so good that I'll just end up being a Warlord, say like Zhao Yun or Xu Sheng.

I usually stick with created officers. Or...

Zhou Yu, Zhao Yun, Guan Yu (back in VIII), Zhuge Liang, Jiang Wei, and Liu Shan. :)

I started using Zhuge Liang in my RTK 10 game.Man is his story great. the start of it is a bit slow, until Lui Bei comes and visits then the animated events just start rolling in like crazy.

I used my 100's-in-all-stats officer, Lu Xia, in Scenario 7, and he died in a year due to illness.

Well, he was 69 when the scenario started. Go figure.
But it was pretty awesome while it lasted. I beat Zhuge Liang in a debate, persuading him to go with Wei Yan's plan.

After that, I switched to my other file, which was Lu Xia in Scenario 1, with the Yellow Turbans.

Lu Xia was Viceroy of He Nei, and China was completely taken over by Zhang Jiao and his Yellow Turban force...except for An Ding, which was Ma Teng's turf, still.

I led my 48000~ force to An Ding, and we were defeated by default, thanks to the darn 30 days limit.

Then I attacked some Bandits by myself and I killed them all.
So much fun.

Then Sima Yi beat me in a debate when I was trying to learn the "Fault" skill.

I just hate it how an officer tells you that you need to debate more for a certain skill, when you have enough experience for a certain skill.

For example, when I was trying to learn the "Fault" skill, Sima Yi commented that I needed more debating experience for the "Awe" skill, but he never talked about learning the "Fault" skill.

So much for that.

In the same game, I beat Yan Liang in a duel, and I was untouchable.
First turn: Pound
Second turn: Shout
Third turn: Rush
Fourth turn: Pound
Fifth turn: Evade/Slash/Stab

Easy.

100 all stats are like unbeatable lol.
I do an even more cheat way of gaining land fast.
Just make 7 officers with 1 stats each with a new force. (I made them related so i could execute 1 to make all my nemesis and bully them in duel hehehe)

But usually I play my 100 all stats with all 42 skills character.
I don't really like playing others characters.

Sometimes I play others like Kong Ming, Zhao Yun, Ma Chao and Guan Yu.

Once I played Liu Bei and started recruiting soldiers like crazy and beat Lu Xun at Yi Ling lol.

I can't pick and choose my skills yet, so I'm stuck with getting 100's in all my stats.

It's fun to build your fame up to 1000, and then knock it back down to 1 by assaulting people on the road.

Dumb idea, but enjoyable, I suppose. I accidentally attacked Lu Bu once and I beat him. ;)

Its not a pick and choose skills, thats a fake. ;)
You either have all skills all you just keep rolling skills again till you get what you want. You can't just pick the skills you want.

So what do you get after you manage to learn 30 skills? I thought you meant that.

No its just that you will + select all option when you are at the skills section. Koei needs to work on what they write, after you got 30 skills they say you can now choose your skills freely. The way they say it is like you can pick and choose the skills, but actually its just select all, no skills, or roll skills again and again.

Ah.
I made a character where the officer had the following stats:

LDR: 1
WAR: 7
INT: 3
POL: 2
CHR: 6

No one wanted me in their force! How sad. :(

Before you start the game, assign yourself in the force. ;)

Maybe Shi Xie will keep you even if you didn't assign, he's a weak ruler...

Shi Xie? My friend beat the game using Shi Xie! I dunno how he did it, but it was extraordinary. He is weak. Seriously weak.

And the scenario I used my officer in, Shi Xie wasn't there. It was before Chi Bi. The first one I went to was Liu Zhang. Then, Sun Quan.

Even Liu Zhang turned me down!

I could've done it too but I was too lazy so I deleted the game.

I managed to invade from Jiao Zhi all the way to Cheng Du, Jiang Zhou Zi Tong, Nan Zhong, Yong An.

I've taken Yong Chang, San Jiang, and Yun Nan from Xiang Ping. It was not fun.

When I looked at the amount of food that I needed, I freaked out! It was 500,000~ something! That included a 100,000 man army, which included all sorts of units.

Horsebow isn't too shabby. When I can, I stick with using the Savage and Tiger units.

But, generally, I stick with Bow/Crossbow and Qiang units.

Speaking of which, whenever I want to trample over enemies with horses, I turn to none other than anyone in Ma Teng's force.

I've gotten Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan in the same army and gave them Crossbow units before.

Wow. I probably could've won the battle with those two.
Also, stack Lu Bu, Guan Yu, Cheng Pu, and Zhang Fei in the same army, give them their weapons (Crescent Halberd, Black Dragon, Serpent Spear, Snake Spear), give each of them 10000 Qiang units, and let them take control of a battle, and tell me who wins.
