In my opinion, Sun Shang Xiang's COOL! I sorta relate to her, being a tomboy and all. Hmmm.... I wonder if she was a rebel also...... Anyway, let's talk. What do you think of this tigress? |

Meh... I always pictured her as those girls that always want what they ask for and if they don't get it they start crying, screaming and kicking until they do get it. I don't like those girls. On a side note, any girl kicking me can expect a kick back. I'm not a sexist, which means that I treat girls and men equally on most/all fronts. But that's irrelevant. All in all, she's decent, but I have this vision of her that just won't let go. |

She's cool, but she gives off that crazy feminist role in DW 5. "Why says a woman has to be weak?" I can see her today next to Hilary Clinton. |

The person that gives me the crazy feminist role is, of course, those darn Qiao sisters! But, she was alright. Did she ever have any kids with Liu Bei? Just curious. |

I don't believe they did. From what I know, she merely became Liu Chan's surrogate mother after Lady Gan died, and after returning to Wu, that role was done by Lady Wu (Wu Yi's sister). |

I liked Lady Sun's part in the novel where she scares away Zhou Tai, Cheng Pu, Pan Zhang, and...some other Wu general. I believe it was...Xu Sheng? That was pretty awesome and funny. |

Xu Sheng, Ding Feng, Zhou Tai, and Jiang Qin, I believe. And yes, that's hilarious. |

Lady Sun would probably get freaked out over Xiahou Dun's eye, anyway. A question about Lady Sun's death: Novel: She threw herself into the Chang Jiang after Liu Bei died at Bai Di Cheng. History: The same thing...? |

He survived Yi Ling, sorta. Following the battle, he fled to Bai Di Cheng, where he died of grief and stress. However, Sun Ren heard that he had been killed at Yi Ling, and killed herself. |

This is off of KMA Lady Sun – Married to Liu Bei. Many folktales are written involving her and Liu Bei. The truth is hard to tell, but she is recorded as an advisor to Liu Shan, thus dispelling the story of her suicide after Liu Bei’s defeat at Yi Ling. She bore Liu no children, suggesting that the marriage was never consummated. |

Lady Sun's death: She drowned herself at the Chang Jiang. This death goes for anyone else that drowned themselves: Did they throw themselves into the river, or did they just dunk their heads and hold their breath? Dumb question, I know. Just answer it, please. |

Makes more sense. Javert's death would have been a lot dumber if he just tried fatally dunking himself. Dramatic death FTW! |

Not as many people could swim back then as they can now. In fact very few people could swim. If Sun Shang Xiang jumped into a river she could have very easily drowned. IN all likelihood though I don't think this happened historically... |

You should remember that they wore layers of clothing, robes, armor, the like. Jumping into a river while wearing such things was a sure way to make you sink like a rock. This is how some women in Japan would commit suicide, if I remember correctly, since their kimonos would become incredibly heavy when wet. The same would go for the gowns and robes in China. Heck, I think this sort of thing happened in Europe too. |
