Nobunaga, Hideyoshi and Okuni I love their personality. Quite original. Hideyoshi and Okuni are quite fan and Nobunaga a badass, I love Nobunagas and Hideyoshi's movesets, Okuni fails on her Musou attack. |

I would choose Keiji but I cant considering he's a big link to Toshiie lol. I find Keiji extremely bland and bulky and stereotypical. However I like Keiji's portrayal in other installments excluding SW so I cant say he's my overall 'least' fave. I think the SW characters should be cut down anyway because some I really dont use an should be gone, for awhile. Id like a fresh start for SW3 an add any more in later, but not in huge chunks. Anyway, because I got to vote 3 I chose Kotaro because his moveset is just quite simply wrong, and his story mode is far too fictional for me. 2nd I gotta pick Ginchiyo, although I like her moveset. I chose her because I cant stand the whole 'Thunder Lady', It really annoys. I like her dermination but her armour aswell, so overdone, its like she's trying too hard, she should be in SW Multi Raid only if she stays the way she does. She would be a fave if she jus an ordinary kick ass woman  . Last it would be, god, im gonna be hated, Mitsuhide. This is only because I have played him far too much and so unbelivably used to him, he's gotta have a big change for me to really like him again. If he gets a new look then I know il like him again, but at the moment I find him abit boring.

historically, he's just as he is portrayed, feminine, talented, thoughtful, loyal and clever...he's strongly suspected of having a Shudo relationship with Mr. Oda, which makes perfect sense. there's no reason to hate someone because they were accomplished Samurai before they reach their majority, as a matter of fact he should be celebrated. and his sexuality should have not-one-thing to do with anything. |

Don't remember if I posted in here. But, for another chance to EXPRESS my utter hatred for some characters, I cannot pass up the chance. -Naoe Kanetsugu- Love his moveset, tragically, despise his story and personality. The whole LOVE AND HONOR dribble makes me sick. Love the tension between him and Masamune, especially in SW2Empires, but besides that, I just want to press the mute button when he's there. -Gracia- Hate the moveset (I cannot master it), hate her story (BEST FWIENDS FOREVUUUU), and wish Koei could have focused more on her curiosity and relationship with her father (didn't he pretty much lock her away in the SW2XL story arch?). Come on, that's ten times better than whatever dribble she had with Magoichi... that, and don't saddle up the womanizer with a woman. Seriously, he's better a solo character IMHO. -Maeda Toshiie- Don't care for his moveset, can't stand his personality, and I loathe his story, ESPECIALLY the end. Not only does he beat up on poor Hideyoshi, but without cause or reason besides 'I'M ANGRY'. Sorry, but I don't see where any of the events were HIS fault, only Toshiie for choosing to make a name for himself and then choosing to follow Hideyoshi, not Katsuie. I hate a man that makes his OWN decisions, but then can't deal with the consequences. That, and he's secretly a wimp under all that armor. -Ishida Mitsunari- ... What? I can't name a single thing I like about this guy. Don't dislike him as much as the others I mentioned, but he's in there. Only thing I find redeemable about him is his musou... but even that's not that great. |

My three least favourite characters are Ieyasu,Okuni and Goemon. Okuni - I dislike her moveset and her musou attack.It's useless and I can never hit anyone with it.Her personality in SW1 is alright,in SW2 she was rather weird but tolerable. Goemon - I dislike his weapon,moveset and personality.I could never be bothered to play as him,so I left it to my brother to level him up. Ieyasu - Ugh.Do not get me started on why I hate him so much. I dislike Yoshimoto too,but those three I listed are the ones I hate most. |

wow so many people hate kunoichi, I always liked her. xD Well anyway I chose Oichi, shes so annoying. Her & Nagamasa make me want to punch babies. XDD |

Punch babies? Wow... never quite heard an expression like that. I normally would say 'kick a nun' or 'punt a gnome'... now I'm going to start saying 'They anger me so much it makes me want to punch a baby!'  Don't worry, Kanetsugu's honor and justice speeches do the same for me. |

Yoshimoto or Kunoichi definetely.. I used to get nightmares of Kunoichi's "Step on the floor, open the door!" and nearly wanted to throw controller at the TV when she came to the screen on WO2 saying "NEWSFLASH!" ... Then again, she also does have her good goofy moments and she isn't that bad moveset wise.. Though I do like more using Nene I must admit, I still played as Kunoichi on SW1 and liked it. About Yoshimoto.. Well I must say I find his voice horrible and every time if I play as him or have him on the screen my gf starts laughing on the background and can't concentrate on reading homework anymore *rofl* But biggest reason probably is his moveset being not fitting to my style (Though his R1 is better in WO2). EDIT: Hideyoshi's WO1/2 voice actor nearly made me hate the character too, though he is way too useful character to name as least favourite. Least favourite voice if nothing else. I know I've posted here before; wherein I mentioned Yukimura because I didn't really care either way about him. But now, I've developed quite a dislike for one character! Despite his intentions of expansion and potential education reform, I will probably-at-this-point never not be irritated with Masamune Date. The man has little to no ethical or moral stature; he's like a leech who just grasps onto to whomever he feels has power at the time and just sucks, sucks, and runs. He's boastful with almost no sense of courage. He wants a world that is beneficial to people, but he's never the change he wants to be. He really is a young boy who is so naive that he thinks lying is a surefire way to help the world in a longterm manner; he thinks that power and strength in physicality is the way to come to a new, healthier world. I understand why he's like that; I do. Masamune is clearly a character construct in the narrative of 'You have war; you have what a man-child wants; but you haven't had anyone bother to show him the way'. It's an excellent point, but I'm still irritated by him. |

@T.e.n.- When you could simply say 'I don't like the guy', you always give your reasons in logical, if a little drawn out but well worth the reading, ways. TRAIN ME TO BE LIKE YOOOOOOU! And I get what you're saying about Masamune and yeah, I can definitely understand where you're coming from. It's definitely an annoying trait of his, one that I wish Koei would further acknowledge and work on in the SW series. A rivalry between him and Kanetsugu could really help both characters; not the shallow stuff that's going on right now but something deeper, to bring out the best and worst of each one. If Koei could do that, I'd be in heaven... even if it meant to throw in some historical inaccuracies (like it's ever stopped them before; since when did Zhen Ji and Yue Ying have catfights in the middle of battle historically? XD). |

Shhhh...the historical records are inaccurate in that thing Also, why didnt you mention Nagamasa? He is quite a preacher too... Anyways, i think i posted here but since i played WO2 i have a quite not-so-favorite more to the mix: Toshiie...i just...i can't use it comfortably, i see his moveset quite clumsy and doesnt really fit my tastes, plus i thought fighting with 2spears and a sword was awesome....but it wasnt.  Also...Tadakatsu is overrated, i'll keep my Keiji thank you very much. |

Too true, but just because I didn't mention Nagamasa doesn't mean the little lovesick fool didn't get on my nerves sometimes. I think I can tolerate him a little bit more than Kanetsugu is because he doesn't appear as much as Kanetsugu does. That, and call me a hopeless romantic, but I do love him and Oichi being together (as well as I love Katsuie/Oichi). I preferred his story because he succeeded in having honor in his own way AND getting the chance to keep the girl (no matter how inaccurate it is). I guess it's number of appearances that irk me, but yes, Nagamasa does hit my annoyance button every so often. He's darn lucky he has a great R1 attack in the WO series to make up for his honor and love speeches. XD BEAM CANNON! |

 Thank you, Gingi. That's very nice of you to say. ...Train you to be like me.... I'm not quite sure if the world needs another me running around. But the world could stand to benefit from you as you are, though.I love that idea! Granted, so do the Japanese slash fans - Kanetsugu's most popular pairing is with Masamune; slightly below that is the Keiji pairing - but outside of that, it's an excellent idea. Both Kanetsugu and Masamune are highly hypocritical characters who tend to dish it out a bit better than they take it... So coming across each other as characters who sort of force the other to look at themselves and grow as individuals would be wonderful. You're very right on that; and thankfully WO has sort of begun to explore that. Although, I will say in WO there is one (self-involved) aspect I really enjoy with him - there's this very, very minor dialogue relationship he was with Yue Ying; whom I think would be a very good influence on him. Specifically, they have 3 peices of dialoge. After Hasedo in WO1; Masamune Date: You would have died if we hadn't got here! Isn't that guy your husband? What's going on? Yue Ying: I do not understand it myself. But I know that he is a great man. There is a good reason for everything that he does. His behavior on this battlefield must have a convincing explanation too, I am sure. Masamune Date: Doesn't sound so great to me. I tell you what, I'd never run the risk of killing my wife for the sake of some wonderful plan. At Jie Ting in WO1; Yue Ying: The ignorance of youth is no excuse for your actions! Masamune Date: You are the ignorant one, for not seeing Orochi's greatness! At Wu Zhang Plains in WO2 (I'm paraphrasing his line a bit here, since I can't remember clearly); Masamune Date: I will work to create a world that my Lord Orochi can rule, for the future! Yue Ying: And you are still naive enough to believe that Orochi is the answer?! ....Anyways, my point is that it's kind of clear KOEI has a soft spot for this relationship - Masamune doesn't react well to characters like Nene at all (who are overly paternalistic), but Yue Ying seems to consistently call him on his actions without demeaning him (much like Ieyasu does in WO2). And that interaction in Hasedo shows that he actually calls her out on Kongming's inconsistent moral character (which would suffer quite a bit without Yue Ying's faith in him). WO3 itself looks like it will be a huge return to Masamune's backbone, and I really hope she has a part in it. And at this point, I don't care about accuracy to history. Characters that are inspired by the interesting folklore and so on - and have solid, recognizable characterizations - are what I'm interested in. |
