Dear Koei Warriors,

Its been awhile since I played Kessen 3, though I love the fact you can play as Nobunaga Oda. To be honest here Nobunaga doesn't look evil to me, instead he is too nice instead. But in the Samurai Warriors series, he indeed is evil desreving to be the "Lord of Demons" still hes considered to be half good half evil. Anyway this if for those who might have already played and finished Kessen III.

Anwser my following questions and I wont need to spend too many hours playing this game, im only on Chapter 8 where Oda goes against the Honganji Army with all of those deadly musket units and cannons involved, ouch. And I want to put this for rest once I know the anwser, so here they are:

Question #1: Was there only 12 or 13 chapters in the game? And if you do know, what was the final battle stage of the game? Is it the final battle at Yamazaki or is Hounoji?

Question #2: As I got this far, it seems that Nouhime might have finally betrayed Oda, in the vision of Nobunaga at the beginning, she was not there that time, does anybody know what happened to Noh during the final chapters?

Question #3: Is there a battle against the Akechi army? And could it be true that Nobunaga defeated Mitsuhide? I havent gotten far in the game.

Question #4: This is my last question, this could solve everything, when Nobunaga ran into the castle in the beginning of the vision, I noticed that he was talking to a voice, anyone know who is he talking to. And I know Oda got shot, it is possible the Magoichi shot him. Is this where Oda finally gets killed in the game?

* If anyone also finds more information about the fate of certain characters like Hideyoshi, Amelia, Katsuie, feel free to let me know also.

Its time for me to put this game to rest,
Kanetsugu Naoe :P

Sorry Hanzo,

I might as well move this topic to another section in the forums. Please no replies in the section unless you want to. I guess I had too much coffee to handle last night, woah!

My Apologies,

Question #1: IIRC, 12 chapters on normal, 13 on the higher difficulty. Don't remember the exact location of the final battle(s). Honnouji though, is a special event that happens in Chapter 10, I believe.

Question #2: Her name is Kicho. She's very little like the crazy, traitorous portrayal of herself in Samurai Warriors. Yes, she'll come back.

Question #3: Yes, several battles against Mitsuhide and his new allies like the Mori and Sanada. Mitsuhide is the "boss" for the normal game.

Question #4: The spectre changes between the form of Mitsuhide and Kicho in the flashbacks, IIRC, but I'm very sure it's Mitsuhide who's actually there and pulls the trigger. It's definitely not Magoichi, he's not a major character in the game at all.

And no, Nobunaga does not die. Not in Kessen III anyway. :ph43r:

Mitsuhide pulls the trigger, but Nobunaga is saved due to a butterfly shaped pin that he happens to have worn near his chest, where he is shot and often feels burning pain. After that Nobunaga goes into the wilderness for a couple of years only to come back and decide to retake Gifu and beat Mitsuhide. After his forces slay Saitou Toshimitsu, the stalwart Akechi defender of Gifu Castle, a whole war ensues between what has become the Akechi Western Forces and the Oda Eastern Forces. Foreigers, including a large Spanish navy, support the former, and so do the Chosokabe and several other Western clans.

#1: The final battle is Hakata on Normal against the Shogunate forces (Mouri, Shimazu, Cosokabe and Spain) and on higher levels it ends with Yamazaki against the remains of the Shogun forces and Spanish forces.

#2: Unfortunately, Kicho is okay in the end. She gets flakey and goes off to Mitsuhide for various reasons but comes back after the events at Honnouji.

#3: Already answered. Mitsuhide just won't die. He's like Rasputin.

#4: Already answered too: It's Mitsuhide who pulls the trigger, the traiterous so-and-so! Kicho gets hurt here too I believe (yay). From then on it is basically Spain + Mitsuhide + Shogunate forces vs Nobunaga + Ieyasu. Ieyasu is so cute in this game ^^;

If you really wanna know about various other characters, I can tell you here, otherwise you better skip it all:
+ Oichi turns up in Chapter 8 on Expert and she's pretty useful.
+ In Expert, as you get the extra battle(s) you also get extra movies. Katsuie marries Oichi. Ew.
+ Hideyoshi, Amalia, Toshiie etc. all wind up serving Nobunaga right until the end.
+ Nagahide gets pushed out of the way by Hideyoshi while he's talking ;-; (yes, that's important news)
+ In Expert, Yoshino is seen talking to dead Mitsuhide. Hurrah.
Kicho is alive and well >(

News flash Masanori, Oichi was originally married to Katsuie in history. She had to leave him to be married to Nagamasa as a political marriage, and she was not prepared to die for him or anything, when he was seiged in Odani he just let her go, and she re-married Katsuie, finally commiting seppuku alongside him in Kitanosho Castle, as he was the one she really loved. However, Kessen and Samurai Warriors rather keep Katsuie out of the picture more.

And I have a newsflash for you, dearheart: this discussion is regarding Kessen III not history and so ... Oh noes! Your attempt at being superior fails ;o;!!! Besides, I don't know how you can say Katsuie was the only one Oichi ever loved. It's not documented anywhere so I'm thinking that perhaps there's a smidge of favouritism going on here.

And to add to your embarassment, I knew all that information prior to your little bitchfest ;;o;;

To The Hero: Oichi doesn't really have a big part in the game, she's only in a couple of cutscenes (going to Nagamasa, at the end in a church) bar one where Nobunaga tells her to take care of Kicho. Oichi only ends up with Nobunaga because Nagamasa dies and she goes to Katsuie (note: not BACK to Katsuie, as there is nothing to indicate the two are married before).

Pot. Kettle. Black. Much? Talk about hypocrisy.

I'm just a little tired of being talked down to by stupid little children like yourself. I responded equally as patronisingly as I was addressed and yet you had to crawl out of your pram once more, didn't you?

It's okay if you're jealous of me - I totally understand.

Stupid children?

I dont think Lord Shibata was talking down to you. Even then I didnt say your post was a bad thing, did I? I was merely commenting on the fact that you're rather battle-ready when it comes to posting. No hard feelings, yes? No one won our little scuffle in whatever topic we had said scuffle in. Forgive and forget, no?

Perhaps? You started this whole thing with favoritism.

Some of you people seriously need to get a life. Which is really sad, considering the fact that I can pretty much never go out. Why do you have nothing better to do than to be rude and patronising to other people online and in regards to a video game?

Pumpernickel? I know you people like to stick up for your own here, but that kind of response is highly immature and uncalled for. Besides that, it has no relevance, does it? Would you actually like to give me a real example of me trolling? Or are you perhaps just bitter that I have noticed your sad behaviour and don't like it? I am sorry that I don't pander to your l33tness but that's your failing, not mine.

Yeah, real mature response. Congratulations on proving my point.

Shibata wasnt going on a 'bitchfest' like you said. Not only were you wrong, you were rude. Honda isnt a 'stupid little child' like you said. Not only were you wrong, you were rude. I'm not 'immature' like you said. Not only were you wrong, you were rude. I tried to tell you: "Any more trolling/rude name calling, and be warned. <3" Well, there it is. Warned.

How does the game end when you played through it on the various difficulties? The opening is pretty much Nobunaga dying, that's the end of his life. What's with the circular narrative in this? Ieyasu looks almost exactly as he does in Kessen, only with better graphics
I am the game, I don't need luck

Look at it, wish you had it, and eat your hearts out.

I don't think he was really evil in Samurai Warriors either... a bit sadistic maybe, but not evil. Or at least not evil enough to be really considered a villain. He's just dark.

In the scene A Conqueror is Born (Opening for Nobunaga and Noh in SW2) he says that might is the only way they'll be able to conquer the land.

Then in his version of Dreams and Illusions from the original Samurai Warriors; he says "...saw the sorrow plagueing the land and vowed to swallow the chaos whole. He fought battle after battle until he was feared by all, as a demon."

He was just trying to do some good, realised sometimes you can't be sweet; and ended up being perceived as a monster and not seen for his intentions.
