Versus was kinda fun Some times, atleast it was a diversion. part 1 was just so filled with Extras! I guess because it had few characters?

Versus is pretty cool, seeing as there is no real way to actual go one on one & test your metal against one another. One good idea could be to add something loke the making of samurai warriors i think that would be awesome.

i doubt they would ever do that but hey that would be cool though.. or maybe add in some Koei previews like DWBB or maybe another Koei game... not like previous games..

oh man if they had those previews like they've given in SW2 & DW5... nuu. What a waste of space ;o; Maybe if they made it so you could actually see WTH the game was about, the gameplay etc but otherwise. No thanks.

I just saw the site yesterday and it looks wicked awesome! I can't wait to play Sasaki Kojiro, he looks to be one of the best that would come with Empires. Of course I wouldn't buy it just for him, there would have to be a lot more things to convince me to spend the 50 or so dollars on it... but yeah... whee! It looks really neat!

Several screenies from there of particular interest.

http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/853/853987/img_3936079.html

Four Starting Scenarios: Disturbance at Honnoji, Battle of Sekigahara, Gathering of Heroes-type original scenario, and a scenario starting at Okehazama I believe

http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/853/853987/img_3936076.html

...Is it saying we can assign battle scenarios to territories for the Originals scenario? It seems like it to me.

http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/853/853987/img_3936077.html

You can select specials for your made characters! They're preset, but all new combinations, such as the first pair, one which makes all attacks elemental at full musou bar and the second which allows you to transform into other soldiers.

http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/853/853987/img_3936069.html

List of clan emblems, AND shows that you can use generic officer models for your character as well!

http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/853/853987/img_3936051.html

More starting scenarios: Chugoku-Shikoku battles, Kyushu battles, and Battle of Kawanakajima

http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/853/853987/img_3936059.html

More starting scenarios... maybe it actually means just the regional scenario? Maybe it means you need to fight more battles to win territories since Kyushu only has four...

http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/853/853987/img_3936039.html

Yet one more scenario: Battle of Anegawa

http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/853/853987/img_3936081.html

Looks like alternate officer models will be handled like DW. If they follow the trend, hopefully 3 and 4 will be new costume.

Oh my goodness! This game looks completely worth the 30 bucks! The color changing option is pretty weird, but it will be fun to experiment with new looks for some of the characters.

No matter how many scenario's there are, I don't care, honestly. That's what SW2 is for. I prefer the randomness of the heroes mode, so I'll be hoping to put that to good use (and make some cool historical and original characters, so yay).

The last scenario is "Unification of Touhoku (aka Northern Honshu, hence Masamune in the bar)".

More like Free Mode stage selection, IMO.

w00t, the Mouri & Chousokabe crests are there as well! XD Oh, and Hosokawa/Katakura too. And nice to see Imagawa returning, though I fail to search for Honganji.

Does anyone know how the bodyguards will work in this one? In all previous Empires games, bodyguards were taken out.

Would be kinda cool if those emblems show in the back of your generic character or something.

also, the recolor costumes are useless, not only most of them look ugly, but theyre no fun. I almost NEVER used them in DW5, The only costumes I liked to swich from time to time were the ones in SW1.

Still, I can apreciate them giving us extras such as those, what has me going is the fact you can play as many generic guys and stuff, CAW and so on.

Some of the best costumes in DW5 were simple recolors, like the #2 colors for Cao Pi or Sun Quan.

As for the emblem showing on the back, that's already implemented in SW2. Take a look at the back of some of the generic officers (the ones wearing coats, mainly) when you are nearby; the Takeda officers will have the Takeda emblem, Tokugawa guys will have the Tokugawa one, etc.

Then I will create the Hattori Clan! and they shall rule Japan!
