The only costumes I liked to swich from time to time were the ones in SW1.

Ditto.

Even though a few of them were downright terrible (Oichi and Date, anyone?), those were probably the first time that the alternate costumes actually looked distinctly different from their original. It was as if Koei had a not-lazy day for once. As if.

Well, looks like we are going down the road of DW multi colour alternates now...

Heck yes! Those outfits were soooo freaky! I have no clue where those came from or who'd like it! It was the strangest thing... Mitsuhide's second outfit was really cool though. I like the pants! ^^

So... I hear that they'll do the same thing with the outfits as in the DW games eh? Aw man.... that's so cheezy! Perhaps the company is rushing to get the game released? If they'd take the time for details, I wouldn't mind the wait.

I liked some of the second costumes in SW1 and SW1XL. I loved Ina's second costume, it showed her more as a Princess than a warrior. So you had the best of both worlds. Oichi's was terrible though, I mean... a fox skin? Wha?! I thought Masamune's second costume was really cute! Apparently I'm a minority with that one, but to each their own! Mitsuhide's was simply brilliant (I loved the traditional thing he had going on with it) and Ranmaru's was... a bit weird but also cute! Hideyoshi's freaked me out (as if he doesn't look enough like a monkey all ready), Yukimura's was just plain weird and Noh's was pretty, except for the length of the kimono. Too short woman! Haha, anyway, I think it will be interesting to experiment with colors in SW Empires (just please do NOT give Mitsunari white hair! He looks awful! x_x).

Yeah, Ina's alt costume = win.
(Her SW2's costume is badbadbad in comparison. Srsly)

For the males, I preferred the alt costumes when they lose their bulky helmets. Or in the case of Magoichi...

Sorry, but Mitsunari does have white hair in Empires.

Whoa! Mitsunari with white hair!!!? Well, wouldn't that be interesting to see... Hahahahha! Just as long they don't like mess with Mitsuhide's hair! Now that will ruin his reputation! Hahahahha...

That simply HAS to be an edit. And no offense to whoever did that... but it looks AWFUL on poor Mitsunari! That's one thing I would never mess with, is the hair of the characters. The colors on the outfits, sure, but not the hair... hehe :D

It's not an edit. Ieyasu, Shingen, Hideyoshi, Nobunaga, Nou, Ina, and Mitsunari are all shown with Model 2 colors. Shingen gets his SW1 colors back, while Nobunaga gets a bling-bling variant of his armor, and Ieyasu gets gold trim on his helmet and greener(was it?) colors on his coat.

Besides, Mitsunari will still have his original colors. >__>

As for changing hair color... well Omega-Force has done it before so it's not that surprising they're doing it here.

But white?! He looks so... old.. Blagh. It's okay though, not complaining over it or anything. I'm really looking forward to the game itself. The colors are just a side thing... YAY for the game! I can't wait for it.

Oh yeah... I'm sooo looking forward to this! I can't believe that they actually made it 2-players! YES!!!! Now, I bet it'll be more popular than the other Empire games!

"I'm so excited! I can't even hide it!" (a bit cheezy huh...^^")

Oh ya... ya... It was in DW4: Empires. In empire mode that is... Now! There will be 2-players in Empire mode! (I saw some screenshots so... I guess...) Now I can help my brother take over Japan! (Ohh.. now doesn't that kinda sound like Oichi...)

So what youre saying is that in empire mode, only one player was able to play in the past?

Then what about 2p? what mode did you had to play in to get 2 players?

Nope. No 2 player stuff in the past Empires. In DW4:E though, 2 players was only available in Vs Mode. The rest is just for one. It was quite borring 'cause I had to watch my bro play.... ughhhhhh

Ohhh, I did not know that, nor expected that... Well, I didn't get that game so I guess I was a little off... Hopefully SW2: Empires will be more improved than DW: Empires.

Did the previous Empires had lots of ingame cut scenes? because SW2 was lacking.

Specially the ones that no matter what character youre playing as, He or She appears in that cutscene and talks something.

I remember DW3 had alot, DW4 had some, and DW5 had lesser cutscenes than DW4 ingame cut scenes and they were individual ones for each character.

Same with SW2 it has very, very few Cutscenes and theyre all individual ones for each character alone.

In case anyone would like to know whose crests are which, here are the ones I managed to discover.

1st row: Date, Ashina, ?, Satake, Hojo, Uesugi, Hatakeyama, Asakura, Takeda, Imagawa, Tokugawa, Oda, Saitou, Azai
2nd row: Ashikaga, Miyoshi, Suzuki/Saika, Ukita, Mouri(!), ?, Chousokabe(!), Ootomo, Ryuzoji, ?, Shimazu, Maeda, ?, Sanada
3rd row: Ikeda, ?, Ishida, Hosokawa, Toyotomi, Matsunaga, ?, Tachibana, Kato, ?, ?, Shimizu, Yamauchi, Kuroda
4th row: Shibata, Akechi, ?, ?, ?, ?, Asahina, ?, ?, Tsutsui, ?, Amago, Oouchi, ?
5th row: ?, Honda, Hattori, Mori, Shima, Naoe, The next four are fictional, the last one not sure.

This list may not be accurate, since:
1. There are some clans that share the same crest
2. One clan could have used more than one crest.

IIRC, the fictional emblems are used for Okuni, Nene, Kotaro and Musashi respectively in SW2. Last one may be just a New Clan emblem specifically.

Also, I'm positive I've seen the emblem between Mouri and Chosokabe somewhere before. I think in Kessen III somewhere.

And Koei is taking more tips from Capcom. Hm. I wonder if this is combined with XL. Because I sure hope for more new characters and stories.

yea they have more playable characters. if you watch the vid on youtube u can see that sasaki is playable and without nenes face at the bottom corner. which would also mean u can play as shibata also ad maby a few other new peopel

This list may not be accurate, since:

2. One clan could have used more than one crest.

1st row:
im guessing the 3rd one is Mogami cuz of this pic:http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/853/853987/img_3936079.html

2nd row:
1st crest is also associated with the Satomi & Mogami
6th is Kono (Daimyo of Iyo province)
10th crest is either Asano or Otani (both use it) but judging from this pic, it should be Asano: http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/853/853987/img_3936079.html

3rd row:
2nd one is Fukushima
the Matsunaga Crest is also associated with Todo Takatora, an from this pic, it might be used for Todo http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/853/853987/img_3936079.html
before the Tachibana is the Kobayakawa
the Tachibana mon is also associated with Konishi Yukinaga

4th row:
4th i believe is Nanbu
5th crest is the Urakami(also associated with Akita)

5th row:
before Honda is Ito (Kyushu daimyo)
the Mori crest (Owari) is also associated with the Rokkaku clan

http://www.samurai-archives.com/crest1.html ;) lol (i found that pretty late)!!

Naturally they are playable in Empires. In DW Empires, you can play as nearly all generic officers.
