Oh please. Okehazama was not in SW2, so it would have been a BONUS to have Koei include it.

That Sekigahara analogy is stupid. Plain and simple.

So? That doesn't mean they couldn't have included it >_>.

Yeah... that Sekigahara was stupid indeed. However, I have better idea: Let's start from year 1583 instead. Then we don't have Nobunaga .

But Koei was lazy... "It's just that simple"

Aww... 1583? Then there would be no Mitsuhide and the other peoples! Hahaha... Just the new peeps.

No, see, the analogy is stupid because Okehazama was NOT IN SW2, while Honnoji and Sekigahara are. It was from 1561~1615(possibly a bit further for Edo Castle.)

Koei simply didn't feel like adding EXTRA BONUS stuff. I mean, they didn't really do that in the last Empires games, afterall, except for New Officer stuff in 4E.

I underlined the key words there for you.

What? Wait... what other Bonus Stuff were there besides New Officer mode and the Bios? Wellies, I didn't know Okehazama was a big deal to everyone. Uhhh.... I guess I'm not catching this... Since I don't have SW2:E yet...

It wouldn't really have been a bonus stage, because we saw Okehazama in SW1 >_>.

So yeah... Koei was a bit lazy .

No, Jin.

And as far as I know KOEI NA has not spoken about a US Empires, so unless you plan on importing, dont plan on playing it.

I think we should wait for a while and see how things go. Some people were sure that SW2 is not going to be released in west... -_-

Besides, Koei has always released XL and Empires expansions in west. So, you can expect to see SW2E as well.

Please don't make separate threads for simple questions like this.

-Merged with SW2:E thread

And so answer your question, Empires games feature a conquest mode, where you conquer the country (Japan, in this case) with whichever clan you want, and you can choose generic generals and policies that upgrade stats among other things. Someone else could probably explain it better.

Empires is like what is stated above.

Xtreme Legends is like an expansion to the original game. In SW: XL, they added a couple of new chars, stories and a little bit of other features.

You should be familiar with the original games... right?

Eh? It's not that bad once you get used to the concept. I actually prefer this to the core game.

So yeah, I hope you were just kidding.

Ok, just to be sure... Is it 2-player this time in Empire Mode (where you choose the policies and then go beat up everyone)?

Yes, it is. When you're choosing who you want to send into battle it says "2 player press start", or something to that effect.

Hows the base system? Please dont tell me you just kill 4 peons and the base is yours.

It all depends on who is in the base. A base starts out with 5 guard captains (the ones with shields) and each has 4 shielded peons, so you're looking at 25 soldiers per base just to start out with. Then whenever an officer is there they will hold the base for their side as long as they are there, so you have to kill them too. Then every so often another guard captain or two will come back to try and reclaim the base or keep it under their control, depending on the circumstances. I'm fairly certain officers and base captains are the only units that hold control of the base.

Haven't played any of the DW:E games, so I don't know how much of this is the same.

Wha?

No, that's Katsuie's moveset. It's just a bunch of other movesets thrown together (Keiji, Yukimura, and Tadakatsu). Same for Kojirou, he's a normal type and has elements of Kenshin's, Mitsuhide's, and Nagamasa's movesets.
