Cool, you can play as Masamune's grandfather >_>. Are there other Date members in Empires besides Harumune?

And those old guys have obsession with the word "experience" :o.

Yeah, a couple of other Dates. I forgot exactly who, but I'm pretty sure Shigezane was one of them. It's been a while since I played though, so don't quote me on that.

Oh, and definitely Terumune. You can quote me on that one.

Is Terumune another generic, or is he an NPC?

He's a generic, as there are no "NPC"s in the traditional sense. All of the former NPCs are playable, they just have generic movesets. IIRC, Terumune has the old man model too.

No, he has a strategist model. I watched the trailer again and you can see his face when he says something >_>.

I have a question. In SW2 Edo Castle where you go to find Ekei (or whatever the name is) you get ambushed by a unique ninja model general (forgot the name). Is he playable in Empires, still having the unique ninja model?

Maybe his model changes then? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think some of the characters do have different models for different scenarios. But again, don't quote me on it, as it's been a while since I last played Empires.

WOW. **** G4.

Not only did they pick a generic moveset and generic model to show, they're playing on Novice (as you can see by the AI doing crap; on Easy they at least attack quite often), and can't do anything other than mash the square button and maybe hit triangle or circle once in a blue moon.

Then they use the horrid main menu music YOU CAN'T EVEN SELECT FOR BATTLE for the entire video.

And to top it all, they show NOTHING of the actual Empires parts, like the planning phases or even any of the FMVs, despite them being the same as SW2.

Have you guys seen all the insulting comments being left for those two videos?

This is like G4 is purposely trying to show the game off as being bad before its release. Not cool and not professional.

Aoyama Toranosuke is not in SW2E, unless he's become some super secret character... I did find Yagyu Munenori though.

Date Terumune has the politician model, and has it for every scenario. A few officers did change from SW2 to E, like Hojo Ujimasa (old -> polit) and Hojo Ujinao (polit -> young.)

There's also Harumune, Shigezane, Sanemoto and Masamune's son Hidemune for the Date clan. I think Tadamune is in as well, but I haven't gotten him.

G4 is a channel. But PS, as far as I know anyway, Gametrailers.com=/=G4. I'm almost positive Gametrailers is an independant website. Knowing G4 they'll give a worse preview/review than that.

PS thought it was from a show on G4 (most likely X-Play, I think they're the only ones who do reviews). But does it really even matter? We've already established almost 10 posts ago that this is gametrailers.com and not G4.

Unless of course, PS wasn't talking about the video I posted. If that's the case then I'm just as confused as you are.

I hope you can Chose tour sub officers like in DW5E. If so, my leader would be Nobunaga Oda, Sub officers: Kaji and hanzo.

I have two questions.. (more to come eventually)

QUESTION 1: Can you position your officers around the tactical map like you could in DW5:E? (you can only defend region 'x' with the officers placed there)

QUESTION 2: Is there any free land on the tactical map during a historical scenario which you can select and create your own army? (like in DW4:E & DW5:E)

I'm not pre-ordering this game, or grabbing a copy from the U.S.. so i have to wait until March 16th (EU release date) before i get this game.

Thanks in advance.

Theres no free land during the historical scenario.

No, but in some cases, a clan will have more than 1 region. When that happens, you can strip a region where there is no daimyo (just retainers) and assign it for your own clan.

Thanks guys.

I have another question though to anyone who may have an answer..

QUESTION: Is there any significant change from DW5:E to SW2:E? (as in; gameplay, tactics, ordering troops around the battlefield etc.) also, are there any new maps included that wern't in SW2? (both DW4:E & DW5:E added a few extra maps)

Thanks again in advance.
