Did someone get the japanese version of SW2 because there is the archive on it and I need to know the biography of Nene, thanks by advance?

Yes, there's an archive (historical encyclopedia) in the JP version.

As for Nene's biography, I'll look into it later.

Thank you Blackkite, I searched it everywhere but nothing, I got the one of Ginchiyo thanks "Nobunaga's ambition" games ^^

So they indeed left out Archives from Western version (I don't have the game yet) >_>. That doesn't make much sense... I suppose they just wanted to release the game ASAP and not bother with character profiles.

Can someone help me. I'm trying to get Matsukaze. I use up basically all of my gold on Benefaction, and then use Inspection and Exemption. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure you have 3 or less mounts.

This is from gamespot forum-
Matsukaze: Use so many good policies that your people believe your excrement has healing properties, they'll just throw it at you(the horse that is). Need three or less mounts.

Thanks, but I got it. I guess it just takes a LONG time (impractically long).

Here's another question. I'm trying to get the "Max" mounts from SW2 for my Empires profile. So far, I have Ink Stone (Power), Pale Cloud (Speed), and Matsukaze (Maximum). Anyone know what the last one is (yeah, I'm too lazy to pop in SW2) and any easy way to get it?

I don't know if this will help much or if this is what your asking, but here is what i read about the 2 other horses-
Moon Child: Acquired via Western Trade, need three or less mounts.

Persian Mare: Acquired via Chinese Trade, need three or less mounts.

I do not know if these are maxed out though, I did not get them yet, but they are achievements on the Xbox360 version.

Sorry, I should've been more specific. I meant the "maxed" Average horse. In SW2, Power, Speed, and Average all have horses that cost like 5,000 gold or something and they're the strongest horses in their category. For Power, it's Ink Stone, for Speed, it's Pale Wind, and for Average...I don't know. I want to know its name and if there are any secrets to getting it other than getting lucky with a merchant/western trader or finding one randomly.

I was reading about it and I only Heard About these two horses that had all stats max.

Genkai: Luck up + Exp Up (at max lvl the horse's stats were at max)

Takachiho: Luck up + Exp Up (at max lvl the horse's stats were at max)

Sadly though, I couldn't find how to get them. Maybe if you keep looking in shops you may find it. Sorry if I'm not that much of a help

Again, my fault for not being specific enough. The horse I want is Red Wood. If you check your SW2 (not Empires) data, you'll see there are 4 horses per stat and the fourth (and strongest) horse for the Average horses is called Red Wood. That's what I wanted to know. Now, I don't remember how I got the other two, I think it was through a random encounter with a merchant/westerner. I want to know if there's any easy way to get good horses like those.

Don't worry, at least you tried.

Also, I did get the horse. If anyone is wondering how to get any of the horses from SW2 (excluding the three rares), here's what you do. Use Inspection. A lot. If you use it enough, every few turns you'll be given the option to buy from a Merchant and on the next turn, from a Westerner. Now, I'm not positive, but I believe the Merchant gives the lower leveled horses while the Westerner gives higher leveled horses. These horses have no special abilities, but are identical to the ones you get in SW2 and, what I like best is that they don't have dumb names and generic appearances. So yeah, use Inspection over and over and be sure to say Yes when asked to trade/buy from the Merchant/Westerner. You'll get documents and a horse (or, if you have 4 horses, a skill which can be used by everyone). For other randomly generated horses, go to the Shop or use the "Find Mount" policy.

A question regarding the requirements to participate in the "Battle of Osaka", when playing the scenario "Battle of Sekigahara".

Q: can the Toyotomi have more than 2 fiefs but only if I take them from them by 1615? Or do I have to keep them at 2 fiefs from 1600 to 1615?

Thanks.

They can have more fiefs before 1619, IIRC. When I did this in the english version, I had them at 3 or 4 fiefs around 1615, then 2 by 1617 and it worked.

juz now some1 wanted to know nene's biography, i think i can help u out. im not sure if this a biography but i hope it helps

Nene (1546-1624) was an aristocratic lady during the Sengoku and Edo periods of Japanese history known for her beauty, intellgence, and marriage to Toyotomi Hideyoshi. She was born in about 1546, the daughter of Sugihara Sadatoshi. In about 1561, she married Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a man who would later become one of the three great unifiers of Japan. Nene was one of his favorite wives. It was a successful marriage, despite it being arranged and the fact that the couple were childless. Nene was a close confidante to her husband, they corresponded by letter whenever Hideyoshi was away, and the letters suggest an intelligent, personable woman with a strong understanding of politics and military life. After Hideyoshi assumed the post of Kampaku in 1585, Nene attained the title of "Kita no mandokoro".

After Hideyoshi died in 1598, Nene decided to become a nun. She took the name Kōdai-in and established a Buddhist temple, Kōdai-ji in Kyoto, to which she moved. It became the burial area for her husband, his mother, and later Toyotomi Hideyori. During the contest between Toyotomi Hideyori and Tokugawa Ieyasu for supremacy, Nene took the side of Ieyasu.

(Directly from wikipedia. Thanks to em)

Oh and yeah i juz found out that hideyoshi is born with 2 right thumbs. that explains why koei made him a stick (i mean like a spear without that metal sharp thingy) user right?

So the alternate costumes are only different colors? I was hoping for a model change like in SW1.

Does anyone know why Koei have forbidden us from using certain weapons for the (very rubbish) CAW? Or is it something you have to unlock?

I don't think so actually. I'm disappointed too in the meager weapons selection compared to DW5 Empires. Maybe it's a realism sorta thing (albeit it's far from realistic in these games. :P)?

It's quite sad... I wanted a little ninja with Yoshihiro's weapon XD Half of them aren't there at all, you can't use certain weapons with certain models... blah. Just made a really rubbish CAW mode... even worse.

I am not that surprised, since they were pretty sex-discrimination-y in Dynasty Warriors 5 in regards to the ending edit :S
