My friend has a problem regarding participating the "Battle of Osaka", but doesn't have an account here, so he wanted me to pass on his messege..

"I just attempted the scenario with the Tokugawa. I beat out all other clans other than Sanada, Toyotomi, and my starting allies. Yukimura was with Sanada, allied with Toyotomi. My officers all had well over 5000 troops and Toyotomi had only 2 fiefs. Again, the year 1615 came and went. It seems I did everything right but I still not get the message to play the special stage. The only problem I can see that happened that I have no idea how to control is Toyotomi's troops numbers (and vice versa with Tokugawa if I am Toyotomi). They did attack me and my allies a number of times but I tried to keep troop causulties minimal by going straight for the attacking commander. Ugh...this is very frustrating especially since it takes a little while to go from 1600 to 1615, only to find failure."

Thanks guys.

I have Empires for the Xbox 360 and one of the acheivments is Osaka Campaign and it says it's a special stage...I was wondering if anyone has done this and if you have if you could tell me how because frankly,I am stumped...Odds are the answer is right in front of me,but some help would be nice.

URGH!!!! I just started playing yesterday. Already, Nobunaga has attacked me 10 times (I'm Nagamasa Azai) and he always seem to have a lot more troops than I do, eventhough i repeatedly replenish my troops. Can someone help? Also, how do I increase my culture to get tournaments and etc?

I raise my culture by trading with merchants and western merchants.I think there might be other things but those are the ones that helped me

Another way is to let the emporer make your rank rise.It helps me when I start over and attempt to get my lvl 4 weapons back at the beginning.

As a quick learner to the Empires games myself, I'll answer a few questions.

1. Osaka Campaign

Play as Ieyasu, and obtain victory at Sekigahara. Make sure that Yukimura Sanada is under the leadership of the Toyotomi clan, and then ally yourself with Hideyori Toyotomi. Take out both you Allies and Enemies that might attack Hideyori. We don't want any of his officers captured, as this might cause failure.

After securing Hideyori's borders, Annul the alliance with him if he has more than two fiefs. If he only has two fiefs, make sure to keep him allied until 1615. To make sure it works, have Ieyasu Tokugawa and Tadakatsu Honda in a fief adjacent to Hideyori's current fief position, and await the inevitable event.

2. Darn you, Nobunaga!

If it's your first time playing, do like I do, and start with Easy mode. Yes, it may seem 'noobish', but you'll find it's good to start with. Not only will you be able to get exp, by finding battles easier, but it's a good way to get stats for your weapons and also achieve some Mounts for use in higher difficulties.

Keep defending against Nobunaga, use a few Tactics and Formations to keep him at bay. Ally yourself with other clans, and whenever Nobunaga isn't invading your fiefs, attack another fief and keep building up exp and recruting officers, until you have a powerful enough army to invade Nobunaga's own fief.

3. Ugh, Culture

From what I gather in the manual, you should use the 'Training' methods, such as Tea Ceremony or Debate, to increase culture. Eventually, you'll unlock Tea Gathering, ect. Use these, and eventually, you'll unlock the option of placing your officers at any of your own bases on the battlefield before you go into battle.

Nya Nya, I whipped Nobunaga's ass GOOD. He even had the Honda tank with him (Ieyasu tried to conquer him, Nobunaga repaid the favour). It was such fun to kill Noh over and over again.

And thanks for the culture advice guys. IT WORKED!!!

Well, from looking at it in Free Play Mode, I can assume that both Hideyori and Yukimura must be in the fief of Settsu.

If that doesn't achieve it, then I'm confused as to what's wrong myself.

SW2:E was my first SW game and i can say that I was very impressed.
The use of guns was impresive.
just a question though, what are the legend horses? I have Persian Mare and Moon child is there more?

SW2:E as a first? If u think the guns is good u should hve seen Nagashino :P
Well there is the most known 1, Matsukze, and there r other Maximum horses u can get, but not legendary (incase i made it unclear, Matsukaze is a legendary 1).
If u didnt play the original SW2 u missed out on a lot though ;)

Matsukaze? Hope That Maeda Boy Ain't Around...

To get the ever so wonderful Matsukaze, the best horse in the game, you need to constantly do 'Good' policies. Such as Inspection, Exemption and Benefaction. As long as you don't do any of the bad policies, you'll eventually be notified that you've recieved Matsukaze. (Make sure that you have one Mount space left, or you'll never get him...)

To Train An Army, Is Like Teaching A Dog To Use The Garden

Yes, the 'Train' policy is your best bet. You can get this from Random consultation, but you're more likely to get it from Nene.

What some people don't know, is that the policies like 'Tea Ceremony', and 'Duel', also boost the stats and skills of the winner. Use this to your advantage!

Finding Samurai Warriors

Your best bet would be to get it from Ebay, or just hope it pops up in a local shop soon. Not much help I can give here I'm afraid...

Ye should try the regional ones and beat it but do not challenge the rest of Japan so you can unlock the battle of Anegawa. Then just have fun with the other scenarios.

If u hve Sekigahara (i dont remember when its gotten >.<) id recomend it. Unless u want an age with ur fav char in it and if they rnt around in Sekigahara, just choose 1 with them in it *shrugs*
