I love this game. :) I just wish SW2:XL stuff was in it...
Since WO2 is getting boring, I've ben playing this instead. Usually I make my own maps since I find that more entertaining than the same thing constantly.
Recently I was playing with Mitsunari as ruler, and in one of the scenes, I think the 5 fiefs one.... He had Ieyasu's quote and voice. :OMG: One of the weirdest things ever. Never give Mitsunari Ieyasu's voice. NEVER.

It's a glitch. He always has Ieyasu's voice. Play as Hideyoshi Hashiba in "Incident at Honnoji" or Mitsunari in "Battle of Sekigahara".

That game was fun (I rented it for 3 days)

Can a level 20 still train in Duel, Tea or Conference to increase stats and learn abilities or soon you reach 20 the character become max?

I played Divide Land and created my empire with Shiarria Hissatsu as Lord and Ranchiko Azai as first leader (both created) I started with 4 zones the most eastern on the map and the generals are Oichi, Okuni, No, Nene, Ginchiyo, Ina and Ranmaru Mori (he may be a guy but his voices and face say otherwise ;) )

Her four generals was No, Oichi, Nene & Ranchiko Azai.
Its so hard to get skills when you have no shop

Is there any other girl I forgout or didnt unluck yet?

What i dont like is the change of voices from SW2 to WO.
Nene speaks like a 10 yo lol.
And the constant chattint... the base is in danger, we must prutect the base, which one darn? They repeat the same things every 2 minuts....

Ok here is my character

Name: Azai Ranchiko
Gender: Female
Class: Kunoichi
Weapon: Katana

A cousin of Nagamasa, Ranchiko was trained in the art of ninjitsu by Lady Chiyome. She quickly masterred the art of creating images and the power throw.

After the Azai dissapeared, She was hired by the Shimazu family and quickly became one of their assets (that what happened in the Empire mode I played in anyway)

(I was surprised to see her as general when I trirf to invade the Azai lands and that she defected to join Yoshihiro`s family

So far, I am liking this game. I just trying to unlock all the policies through Divided Land with Magoichi as my rule whilel I keep making an alliance with Ranmaru. His clan is the only one left on the map for me to get rid of but I prefer to fight them after I get most of the policies.

One thing I always liked about the empire series is the voice gallery. I enjoy listening to their quotes and playing around with them. I do love some the dialouge between the characters as well especially this one. Nagamasa is a perv! XD

I haven't played them in a little over a month but I'll try to remember.

SW2: Empires is better IMO over most things except CAW.
In CAW you just choose from 12ish models and change colors. Then you choose the weapon, and you can only choose from half the characters. There are 15 slots though, which is good.

Free mode is way better in SW2: Empires since you can actually use tactics during battles and place your officers at whatever base.

Empire Mode is pretty good, I honestly don't remember the difference between it and DW's besides being Japan. If you get enough culture you can place your officers in battle and there are a couple other differences. I can't remember. :/ But you do have regional scenarios which is over places like Kyushu, and after you take that over you'd be able to go into regular Empire mode.

You can use formations to increase attack, defense, or speed, depending on what your opponent uses.
You can use multiple people musous with others in your army depending on their relationship. It works if there is a eletricalish link between you when your musous are full.

Scenarios:
- 5 or 6 Regionals
- Kawanakajima
- Anegawa
- Honnoji
- Sekigahara
- Divided Land (you can choose who's where)

Overall, I think it's much better than DW5: Empires. I play it more even though I prefer the DW characters and CAW overall. :)
If I remember anything else I'll be sure to post again.

Another feature that i rather enjoyed that wasn't in DW5:E was the ability to change the ownership of territory before empire mode started, other than a force's capital.

It mad the Divided Land scenario alot better than the one in DW5:E

Hello. I have a question. On page 13 of the manual is says that "All abilities and stats earned in Free Mode can be used in Empire Mode". I have played characters in Free Mode yet I have not seen any changes in the characters in empire mode. I am Playing Divided Land and made an officer to make a new clan. Does the abilities and states transfer some how to only the Smauari Warriors characters?

I think it only carries over when you start a new game in Empire mode, as you get an option to save stats/abilities earn onto your permanent save data. Otherwise, everything's just the same as it was when you last saved your progress.

^Ah thats plenty of time, you could've squeezed in a nap lol!

I got some beef with one of the tactics though. I was playing through, leveling up Okuni and the guy I was fighting was close to death so I activated Capture. I killed 3 enemy officers during said activation and they all retreated!! I play that same level again, this time no tactic, and I capture 4 officers in a row! So for now on I'm never using that useless tactic again and encourage you to do the same.

I've been playing SW2 Empires recently, and while I love the game there has been a minor complaint I have that's been bothering me. I play with officer death on, because I feel it adds more to the game, (and executing Masamune for being a prick is always great fun), but I really wish you had the option to execute a ruler each time you conquered an entire clan's territory. It ruins the fun of marching on the capital when you can't even execute Nobunaga unless you capture him in the battle, which can prove quite difficult as he shows up in his own camp and if you try and lure him away he'll either not follow you, or the enemy main camp will fall.

That's my only real issue with this game. I want to execute more big name characters more easily!

A tad late, but I'd like to answer this out of curiosity. I suppose might have eliminated enemies before the tactic-use quote of your character was "announced," Nrage-kun. Or, you may have been attacking relief force officers, they won't count as captured officers.

The only way you were able to capture officers without using the tactic is that you were able to defeat them in your territory: a visible blue area marked on your mini-map.

Nah all 3 kills were after it was announced to be activated and before it was announced that it wore off. I just don't find this particular tactic useful. I do have a query as to obtaining fourth weapons. I have most of them, but others have been very difficult to come by. For instance I used Ieyasu once and got his last weapon right away, but in the same scenario I have fought about 6 to 8 battles with Kenshin and have still not gotten his last weapon and it is quite frustrating. Why am I not getting his last weapon? I get tons of kills, he's level 20, the weaponsmith is maxed out, what gives?

A new power is rising

I've been playing this game again recently on PS3 it is definitely much more challenging than the other Warrriors games. I started off as the Oda in 1561 on Hard, right now I've conquered most of central Japan and just destroyed the other major power in the land the Chosokabe. Now the only forces left in the land besides myself are the Shimazu who have all of Kyushu, Tokugawa and Date.

Along the way I've had some interesting situations unfold, Kenshin finally managed to defeat the Takeda and took Kai absorbing Shingen and his generals into the Uesugi warmachine, they allied themselves with the Hojo and fought a prolonged campaign against me and my Tokugawa allies. Kai, Suruga and Etchu all changed hands over the course of several years, but in the end the Hojo decided to turn on their Uesugi allies dooming them both, as Ieyasu picked off the Hojo while the Date clan from the north finished off the Uesugi.

Another much more amusing scenario was the battle for Settsu, I don't know why but it seemed every Daimyo in Japan wanted this province! It was literally changing owners every turn: The Azai, Ukita, Miyoshi, Chosokabe, Ashikiga and myself the Oda all being owners at one time or another.

One problem I've encountered though is the game freezes sometimes when I do a true musou attack and also my relief forces very rarely show up. I'm wondering if this is because I'm playing it on PS3 or just the game itself??

I know there's a tactic that prevents reinforcements from showing up. It's actually quite handy for taking capital fiefs.

Don't know what gives, but it should work. Also, the "capture" tactic does half your overall stats.. I find it amusing to use against officers I'd want to execute/desire in the long run without capturing them in my territory anyways.

Odd.. As long you make at least five hundred KO's, it should appear at the end of the battle having a Swordsmith over level four- For Kenshin in your case. Still, I don't know for sure.

I don't know my disc is very clean given I haven't touched it for more than 2 years I think? I have my PS2 sitting in a draw somewhere getting dust I might get it out and see if the errors still occur, it must be because of the PS3 and Sony no longer supporting b/c.

About the relief forces it's weird because when I first started playing they were NEVER showing up, I remember fighting one defensive battle for the full 15 minutes the enemy got their reinforcements 5 minutes in, mine never came? But lately they have actually decided to show up sometimes so I don't know.

The main problem is true musou! I have to save the game every time I do one otherwise it freezes completely. Fighting very few enemies I can execute it, but it seems if I ever try it in a huge crowd or or when the screen is very hectic it freezes.

Usually your relief forces enter at a random time in battle. If they don't appear for a set of time, perhaps your opponent is using "Blockade."

It is odd, I have the same problem with Kojiro, but when I got Ieyasu's last weapon I had only gotten 70 ko's with him.

About the relief force I've noticed that usually when the battle is not going well for me starting off my relief force comes right away, whereas when I'm dominating the battle they don't show up 'til I'm already storming the enemy main camp so I don't know, but I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

That is strange. It should appear after 500 KO's if you haven't obtained the fourth weapon yet.
The only explanation I have for Ieyasu getting his fourth weapon at 70 KO's is that you transferred growth to your next game and already obtained it last game and will always appear at the end of a battle after your weaponsmith level is over level 4.

Well the reason I was using Ieyasu was to get his last weapon. That is really all I have left to do in this game is get the last weapons for everyone, but as I've mentioned before it has been a pain...

It should work for all characters. I obtained all fourth weapons with no problem, but this is a bit complicated..
What's even more painful is getting all characters 1000 KO's and maxing out all stats. Of course, I'd only finish doing that for the original playable officers.

Bahaha just me and the Date left now and I'm making serious inroads into their territory now, Termune's head will be mine then the Oda Shogunate will rule forever!!

I almost forgot how easy it was to recruit enemy officers in this game, anyone with no clan friendship will join you almost every time, I took half the Date generals into my army! including Kenshin, Shingen, Hanzo and Tadakatsu. Why train up your own officers when you can just get the enemy to do it for you!!
