Y`know, I just realized that Motonari is not an NPC officer in Sengoku Musou 2.  You NEVER see him in any stage in the game, and even Terumoto shows up very rarely.

Motonari doesn`t even get a page in the Sengoku Records mode! :o

Well.. in SW2 KOEI was too focused on the later period that you didn't see the likes of Hojo Ujiyasu, Ootomo Sourin & Saitou Dousan as well..

Bah. Plenty of stages in SW2 are practically the same design anyway.

Playing the game in full JP, it hurts even more.

Guys, it seems like CAW is as good as confirmed.

自分の分身でプレイ!オリジナル武将作成機能。
「オリジナル武将」モードを追加!モデル・モーション・家紋など10項目を選択し、自分の分身を15人まで作成可能!

You can make your character & clan from 10 different models, motions and clan crests (!). Up to 15 characters can be created.

Make your own clan.... interesting...

Now all we need to see is some pics of the CAW. I wonder what kind of motions there will be?

Models? You have to choose from pre-made models? Argh I hated that in Samurai Warriors. I have to say that this game's create-a-warrior system is rather unimpressive compared to Dynasty Warriors 5's.

I think it might be one of these games that "works only if you haven't played any of the games with the same name before".

If they give the CAW the characters' movesets/weapons, I wonder how they'll pull off Kotarou?

Did you mean that you can have 10 different models, 10 motions and 10 clan crests or that you can have 10 different models, multiple motions and multiple clan crests?

Then this SW is teh suckage. Maybe they'll surprise us with a new mode.

But CAW is seriously getting raped here. Who gives a shit about clan shit, and premade models!? They better be damn good ones, unique and sexy.

And motions? Sword, spear, and generic shit is all I expect. CAW better not be the main focus in this game. Obviously expanding your empire is the main thing, but they need something unique here, and this CAW just doesn't cut it. :/

It's possible "model" may refer to sets of clothing, like DW5XL...

Let's just hope, if not, that the models are all unique from each other.

They've added a movie to the site.

The movie also shows that alternate costumes will be in the game, something lacking in Samurai Warriors 2.

In addition there's one of those monks with the baskets on their heads in the movie and the monk is being played by the player. It is unclear whether this is one of the generic officers that is playable or if this is an alternate costume of one of the other characters.

 Musashi will be under the Mouri Clan it seems. Also, I did indeed see the Imagawa emblem on the Honshu map next to the Tokugawa emblem immediately after the group shot of characters.

I'm surprised Kyushu gets so many regions. It seems the other Kyushu lords will be in as generics, I guess.

Blech. I really hope the CAW isn't based on just the bodyguard models... though I do really like the Mochizuki Chiyome-type kunoichi model personally.

Edit: That monk is most definitely an edit officer. His name is Edi-ko 01(a joke name based on Edit Officer. >_>) The white ninja right after him is also an edit officer.

Ooh I thought the white ninja was Hanzo. Dang...

Well, I hope Ootomo Sorin's in (he could have Tachibana Ginchiyo as a vassal under him) the game. They might not add the other warlords. Instead they could just put in free spaces on the map.

I was surprised with the number of territories in Kyushu too though. There were like...4 or 5 or something. Then again, if you think about it, that's not too much in the scheme of things when you're looking at 20-30 regions.

I see six regions, and at least four different clan emblems including Shimazu. One of the others will likely be Ootomo.

But the video said that there will be 400 different officiers. That's a lot if there's only 10 models...

Hmm... seems like I've made a hasty mistake...

I think it's actually 10 options including model, motion and clan crest rather than only 10 of each.

3 exams and an assignment all in 4 days? Damn you whoever made the timetable...

I think his assumption is more correct... ^.^;

Watch the video closely. When it starts to show individual characters like Kotaro and Masamune, the clan emblem of the clan they are under is highlighted by a white outline, along with a view of that part of Japan, as if selected by a cursor.

When Musashi is shown, lo the Mouri clan emblem is highlighted.

Nagamasa's isnt highlighted.

He could be with the Mouri, yeah, but only because they had the territories he visited in the 17th century during the 16th century.

More than likely he's just the rogue character.

Ten options? How many did DW5:E have?

thousands.

Why?

You had about 10 different types of headgear, 10 different types of body armour and ten different types of leg armour. 10x10x10=1,000.

Then you had color. There was yellow, red, purple, white, green and blue. Factoring in color, that gave you many more different feasible combinations. Since Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires made each different piece of equipment change in multiple ways when you changed its' color, it was worth it to actually come up with different color combinations.

And finally movesets. You could add any Dynasty Warriors weapon to your edited characters, allowing you to equip 40+ types of weapons, including Fu Xi's and Nu Wa's weapons, which were completely unique.

If you multiply everything together, you'll find that there was quite a sh*tload of combinations you could make in Dynasty Warriors 5: Xtreme Legends Create-A-Warrior mode. It appears that Samurai Warriros Empire won't have the same amount of variety.

Why can't I find this game in Switzerland? Why god why?
Oh well. Samurai Warriors 2: Empires looks good enough.
